Is this about Christians celebrating their heritage and demonstrating that America was based on Biblical ideas. Or is it perhaps a way to exploit historical amnesia and encourage voters to embrace not just ultra-right-wing Evangelical Christian ideas, but to embrace it as an identity indistinguishable from American?

If a complete stranger walked up to you and offered to dream cast for you to have a peaceful night's sleep, would you accept the offer?

(Dream Casting is an ancient practice. Practitioners can create a dreaming state for people who cannot sleep because of bad dreams or insomnia.
It is also a means of dream interpretation.)

First god would have to tell people to write it. That would be funny. Theres John sitting there and hears a voice out of nowhere "Joooohhhnnn, i need you to write a book for me."
John responds- " WHO JUST SAID THAT?"
God- "It was me God"
John- "Holy crap you scared me, I though I had a tumor"
God- "Ok grab a pencil and paper..... In the beginning there was there was the heaven and the earth
John- "ok it began with the heaven and .....
God- "no no no- in the beginning, there was the heaven and the earth"
John- "oh ok, so how long is this book?" lol

Its just as funny as that mormon guy who wrote the book of mormon by listening to his talking hat

i want to find my spirit guide and ask for advice, but i havent really projected before. im assuming that my previous experience may be needed to determine how to get to my guide, so: i had a lucid dream once, the first and only remembered exit- which was a bad experience, and one dream where i met my teacher who claimed to be my spirit guide. he showed me a drawing that didnt make any sense.
anyway, can i just- i dont know, before i sleep- ask to see him? what has worked for you in the past?

I mean, those people are total lunatics that think aliens control our minds and that pain doesn't exist. Just check out the look on Tom Cruises face, is that guy deranged or what?. Are we going to have a mass suicide like at Jonestown or Heavens gate?

from someone's post:

"there was article in the local paper a few years back that said there was study and people in the hospital who were prayed for got better by forty percent over people who did not get prayed for.I could tell you of some actual mighty miraculous miracles have witnessed.but there is so many.and there so wonderful and amazing you probably wouldn't believe me.I am going to include you in my prayers tonight, i Will make a very special prayer for you, with total faith that you will do fine.very fine."

what i believe in is that they will all have a 40% success rate even if the one's who pray are pastafarians and the patients dont know and they pray in a different unintelligible language.

You think I'm an ignorant savage
And you've been so many places
I guess it must be so
But still I cannot see
If the savage one is me
How can there be so much that you don't know?
You don't know ...

You think you own whatever land you land on
The Earth is just a dead thing you can claim
But I know every rock and tree and creature
Has a life, has a spirit, has a name

You think the only people who are people
Are the people who look and think like you
But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger
You'll learn things you never knew you never knew

Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned?
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountains?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?

Come run the hidden pine trails of the forest
Come taste the sunsweet berries of the Earth
Come roll in all the riches all around you
And for once, never wonder what they're worth

The rainstorm and the river are my brothers
The heron and the otter are my friends
And we are all connected to each other
In a circle, in a hoop that never ends

How high will the sycamore grow?
If you cut it down, then you'll never know
And you'll never hear the wolf cry to the blue corn moon

For whether we are white or copper skinned
We need to sing with all the voices of the mountains
We need to paint with all the colors of the wind

You can own the Earth and still
All you'll own is Earth until
You can paint with all the colors of the wind.

I realize this'll probably get deleted, but hell, I've been down that road before.

I also realize that posting this in the middle of the night (well, in my part of the world, anyway) might limit the number of posters who know me seeing this, but I'm bored, and I can always post again.

Anyway, I'm back. I got to thinking, it's a better form of protest for me to continue posting on Y!A after being unfairly banned and having my e-mail deleted than it is for me to simply dissapear. And this time, because my main e-mail is now over at Gmail, who cares if they ban me again? :p

So anyway, what's shaking? Anything happen while I was gone? :D

(ps: Anyone at all, feel free to e-mail me at girl0wonder@gmail.com. Love!)

Do you think christians should continue what they are doing or should they 'get with the times' like the people who created the new testiment?

The ancient egyptians were a very advanced society that recorded their lifes in detail using hieroglyphics. In all the hieroglyphics found there was NO record of enslaving Jews, let alone enslaving them for hundredes of years. Another stange Christians myth. Im see a pattern here, are you?

so this guy thinks hes got it all figured out rite lol, well it happens that life span is always changing 100 years ago it was 50 and according to scientists new breakthroughs in nanotech and genetic engineering in approx 20 years will make humans live to be way beyond 120. now when this happens your bible will remain the same at 120 years but of course no one will care anymore.......... why do people always think these things are just set in place forever, when did humans stop evolving?

I was reading an article that basically said that religion loses its credibility when it says things that are different than what science teaches. In the article, the idea was being thrown out that it was time for religions to quit speaking against homosexuality.

The author of the article was saying that homosexuality has been proven to be something that is determined by birth. The thinking is that if it isn't a choice, then homosexuality can't be against the will of God.
