America tries to more than every other country.
Greece, for examples has finally let a Mosque be built.
We have been struggling to keep religion out of schools.
At the same time, America has traditionally celebrated Christmas for 200+ years and will have a hard time not doing that.
It's not an easy thing to do, but if American Christian's can't celebrate their holidays then don't expect them to let your celebrate yours.

I am a Christian, but that dose not mean that everyone has to be a Christian. This is a free country and we have many religions here.
I like meeting new people even if they do not believe the same way, That is what makes life so great!

i'm from u . s . and no it would not. If somebody would not have self belief they are taken care of as scum or stupid. Years upon years of non secular supremacy has given away to anti-non secular arguments so we went from one severe to the different rather of being in center the place we could continually be. u . s . is meant to have a seperation so as that folk can do in spite of they choose for of their inner maximum lives yet that there could be no PUBLIC faith or faith to avert conflicts....Anti-non secular have long gone way out of bounds by utilising attacking something faith linked in any public view and non secular have long gone way too far by utilising stressful human beings obey their faith's regulations as State regulation

I think before you start pontificating on America, you should ask other countries the same question. The US is far, far more tolerent on religion than several other countries including some who claimed that they are moderate states.

As long as you respect my freedom FROM religion. Many religions are surprisingly INTOLERANT of that viewpoint. Some will even KILL you if you don't accept their religion. Can you guess what religion that is, INFIDEL?

"From the dissensions among Sects themselves arise necessarily a right of choosing and necessity of deliberating to which we will conform. But if we choose for ourselves, we must allow others to choose also, and so reciprocally, this establishes religious liberty." --Thomas Jefferson: Notes on Religion, 1776. Papers 1:545

Damn right. I'm not a Christian, and I shouldn't have to learn about Christian religion in a science class.
