My husband told me that in general it isn't a good idea for men to have 24 wives because since Eve came from the rib of Adam, that men could be okay with up to 24 wives since there are 24 ribs. That always made sense to me. My grandpa says the Sages say he shouldn't have more than 4 but I was reading on this website that men could have as many wives as he could afford. Its always troubling to me when I hear conflicting ideas by religious leaders but I think my husband is right. I just want to see what others think.

To the Christian couple (and whoever got shirty about their perfect God). At least you spelt His name with a capital G. Thanks for that.
To the question itself. Are You Serious?
When the Israelites were in the desert and in fact throughout history, God's people have somehow found a way to multiply pretty successfully. Really from the heart, I would just enjoy the love that you have between you and the other bit isn't that important. You have a lifetime together to learn and share together. Maybe you could pray for those who don't have anyone and leave them to watch the porno.

just because they ask mary for help doesn't mean they don't pray to God, God can only answer prayers God is only worthy of praise... personally i barley ask a saint for help in pray all my prayers are directly to God don't buch us up into one category if a catholic wants to pray let them it doesn't conclude that they don't love God or get distracted from him all devotion to a saint leads one closer to God in my opinion..... anyways my question is why do you think we can't pray to God even though that is what most of are prayer and are only source of worship is ... the whole mass is a prayer/worship of God to us it is the highest form...thanks and God bless:)

Do you think that pornography as an educational tool to show a Christian couple how to find pleasure in each other's bodies is a sin? Obviously we are not experienced in such matters and are recently married and are ignorant of the ways of the world. Would anyone know where to find Christian pornography that would depict a religious married couple who find pleasure in trying to mulitply according to God's word and also want to instruct their Christian brothers and sisters in love making techniques that adhere to the Christian code of ethics?

this is what the Lord commands: when a man makes a vow to the Lord or takes an oath to obligate himself by a pledge, he must not break his word but must do everything he said......

does this make you more mindful with your words before you make a promise????

As a Christian I do celebrate Christmas.I celebrate it as the birth of my saviour.(this is the day ,set aside to celebrate). But because of so many other Religions. Coming into our country wanting Jesus taken out of Christmas, the department stores have banned saying Merry Christmas.
BEST BUY being one that will fire employees, for not saying Happy Holidays.I care not what other religions celebrate, just leave mine alone.
JESUS CHRIST IS CHRISTMAS.
CHRISTMAS IS LOVE.
THE BIRTH OF MY SAVIOUR
COME DOWN FROM HEAVEN
so Christians never support a store that does not support MERRY CHRISTMAS.
ALWAYS ASK

Why is it that most religions seem to want to impose their superstition upon others and want to convert people to their cause. I don't mind people doing whatever in the comfort of their own homes but when Christians go around saying gays are evil or Muslims wander around imposing controls upon women and trying to get people to live under Sharia Law, I am a little perturbed. Is their a religion that does not try and impose it's will upon other people or tell its adherents how to live their lives?

We will still have freewill to do as we please. To have him show himself will remove all doubt in something that on the surface seems as ridiculous as any pagan myth.
So many will be saved from hell if he would just do this so we wouldn't have to rely on a 2000 book. We all know how things can be changed over a short period of time, look at how rumours evolve at work or in school in an afternoon, nevermind over centuries. I know a good amount of people that are nice by any current standards but will probably end up in hell because their strength isn't strong enough in tales of talking snakes and miracles that could be replicated today by Criss Angel.
I am a Christian but I am guessing I am not alone in posing such inquiries.
