In the past, the Christians (or Catholics) had burned the Witches. Some of them even being their own followers and childeren. Tell me, is this right? Is this the love you speak of? What had you against us Witches? We do not worship the Devil or Beast. We are kind and noble people who try to help when we can. This q has been running in my head for years, im glad i have somewhere else to put it. So tell me, has your religion's attitude towards us changed, or are you still in that belief. I am not trying to start anything. I put this q as friendly as i can.

Blessed be!!!!

I dunno, because on one hand, you hava group who refuse to believe in science or the oodles of evidence that shows that there may not be a god, and on the other hand, you have people who refuse to believe there is something more than what we see.

I'm an Agnostic btw =)

Ok....release the hounds!

they are teenage girls around age 14 and 15 and i have a few options. my options are how to say no in tough situations, the Barbie Doll Syndrom (eating disorders), purity, the power and impact of Christian friends, what makes a hero or talk about suicide/homicide? which should i do? we are all strong Christians and very mature so any of the would work.

One of the most insane arguments, in the history of man, is the following (heard from Islamists and leftists alike):

"The extreme act of blowing yourself up shows the desperation of the people and how bad it must be for them. Thus their cause must be a just one".

Response:

From birth Muslims are raised to believe that the Quran is the literal word of God and is beyond questioning. Those who do question Islamic doctrines along the way are very quickly brought into line.

The Quran tells muslims that the religious clergy speaks for Allah "obey Allah and Muhammad and the religious leaders.." So as opposed to Christian preists or Buddist monks who offer opinions, Islamic clerics are essentially the real-time voice of Allah, and iN a world of 1.2 billion people, thats huge power.

Suicide bombers literally believe the Quran's promise of "reward" in heaven, when dying in the course of combat with kufr (unbelievers).

Imam's merely manage this resource of brainwashed drones.

Not all, but i've found that most athiest say that religious people are weak and don't think for themselves.

They get offended when religious people assume that they don't have any morals because they are not religious, but by the same token i've seen these same people assume that all religious people are simply brainwashed.

I know a lot of religious people are intelligent and studied their religions before following it.

What if the person has weighed up everything and in the end decides that they think a certain religion makes most sense to them. Why does that make them weak? Why does it make someone foolish to think there is a higher being just because there's not perfect proof?

There's no perfect proof of how life began.

It's not PROVEN that the Big Bang happened. Even so, what was before that? and that? how did it first appear?

Why are religious people expected to have all the answers when the athiest also do not have them?

Just wondered. FYI i'm undecided about god/no god

It sounds like the Atheists are against Christians and their ideas of god, creation, etc. So,what are you for?And if you are for that, then shouldn't you be named in relation to that cause?I know a scientist is for science.Tell me what you are in favor of,and why don''t you call yourself that?

After all, the definition of insanity is "doing the same thing repeatedly while expecting different results." Why hold onto religion when it has let us down so badly and so often? (Examples: religious wars and crusades; clerical abuse; fraud; illegal meddling in the political process; psychological abuse; support for slavery, misogyny, racism, etc etc etc)
