Interesting question. Maybe there is both. Maybe there is some choice in heaven. Since so many religions believe in reincarnation. Are some allowed to return & others choose to stay. I understand it is quite a fine place to be. Till we are there we just don't know for sure do we.

No reincarnation...

1 Thessalonians 4:17
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

In some religions, it is believed that you will reincarnate until you have reached nirvana, (I'm pretty sure it's Buddhism) They say when you have reached nirvana, you have a choice whether to continue to reincarnate to help people or you can stay in "heaven" (depends on what your definition of heaven is) respectfully.
Hope I have helped, feel free to e-mail me if you have any other questions.

Reincarnation in this earth and attainment to a place called heaven are mere imaginations.
He who observes the laws of the One True God enjoys heavenly bliss in all of His innumerable worlds.
He who disobeys, eternally experiences hellish misery.

I believe in reincarnation. The concept of having only 1 life seems a bit wasteful of resources to me.

The bible does not support reincarnation.
Hebrews 9:27-28 Just as man is destined to die ONCE, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

reincarnate defintaly.
it gives people who have screwed up their current lifes(as have i)
to live as a better person or a worse one over and over again.
It gives you the choice of using that gift to help yourself or other people.
also its the chance to be somebody else until you get the whole cocept of being yourself right.

You will be there forever because there is no place greater than heaven. Once you get there, that's where you'll stay.
