Absolutely. I can be quite an ********.In real life I'd get along with 99% of everyone.
Remember just because I abuse you doesn't mean I don't like you.
While on the Internet we have less of a filter because we are not face to face. In bad times we would all help each other out.

A lot of people may answer this question and say, "Yes! why not?" But I am a Christian and I don't think this will ever happen. Atheists believe that there is no God, yet Christians do.
I myself don't know what I would ever do without having God in my life as my Savior, and I want other people to have God in their lives, too. God is who gets me through each day, and to think that some people don't have that just breaks my heart. In the Bible, which is God's holy word, it tells us to go and spread the news about God so that others can know about him.
If an Atheist asked a Christian about their faith most of them would try to defend what they believe in. A confrontation such as this would most likely end up in an argument, i would assume. And I, for one, know that I would never want to compromise my faith.
But i think that even though you may debate, these arguments could be quite peaceful and you may get along about almost everything else.

Yes, one of my best friends is an atheist. We have had long discussions since middle school. We had an atheist, three Nazarenes, a Lutheran, someone from the United Church of Christ, and a Catholic all debating religion. The debates were always peaceful, but we could debate it in a way I've never seen before or since. We always left each other with a smile and a wave.

I have and I have atheist friends and I'm christian.
The problem arises when one side attacks the others beliefs. What you have to realize is that most Christians hear how badly atheists attack their beliefs and instantly acquire a hatred. Atheists have been previously attacked by Christians and start to stereotype and then criticize all Christians and not just those who need it. This in turn invokes the wrath of Christians who otherwise would have gotten along. And round and round we go. Some peoples very nature prohibits friendship so religion does nothing.
Both christians and atheists should learn to respect others beliefs WITHOUT attacking them no matter how stupid or illogical they seem, they may be right. It's happened before. Gallielo was condemmed because he was right.
We should learn to respect and accept others, no matter religion or lackthereof.

I belive they can.
I am neither religion(i am wiccan) yet i have friends who are of both.
Religion sholdnt matter wether you get along with each other depending on how religious you are.
I can understand how an atheist wouldnt get along with a strong christian who is constantly talking about god and what not but if they kept their religious thoughts on the down-low i think they could get along..although it could also depend on the person.

I'm a fully practicing Christian and have atheist friends and get along fine. If they want to talk about spiritual things, we talk. I have shared the Gospel with them and so they have heard the truth. We're still friends, however.
I find it strange that you think we cannot get along.

Definitely yes.
We will all realize very soon that we are ignorant. Quarelling up here is nothing before the nuclear war, which is the consequence of our obstinate ignorance.
Then all will turn to the Messenger of the One True God to learn and practice the lesson of love and unity.

Ofcourse yall can get along. I have been trying to get along with the Christians forever, but they keep telling me I'm a sinner and I'm going to hell, but I dont hate them or say anything bad about them. I'm not athiest (I'm pagan...specifically Wiccan) but i know how they can feel sometimes. Its ok, one day we might all just get along!
