Sometimes when people face hardship or a death in the family or some natural disaster strikes, they'll be told that God is a mystery and nobody can know why such things happen.

But when you go to church you learn that God *does* have a plan for us - armageddon. Right?

They serve shrimp and lobster. Eating shrimp and lobster is a sin; a downright abomination! - along the same lines of homosexuality according to the bible. Leviticus 11:9-12 clearly states:
"whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them ye shall eat.
And all that have not fins and scales in the seas... they shall be an abomination unto you.
They shall be even an abomination unto you; Ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination"
Is this another fine example of pick-and-choose bible-based morality?

the cross is of great significance. the cross is where jesus died for us. it is where he took on all of our sins. it is where we were granted eternal life. but yet i never see a cross on a mormon church. i have been told they do not embrace the cross. why is this?

If you only had two to choose from as a form of your existence, would you rather be GAY or would you prefer to be CHRISTIAN?

There are many disadvantages to both, but which would be more palatable?

i have a good friend that is LDS. she had invited me to her church so i went. i am a christian and have been for several years. i also have piercings and tattoos. when the other members of the LDS church saw my tatto of the "jesus fish" on my forearms and the tatto of a cross made of nails with the ohrase "jesus freak" around it they looked at me with disgust. i was not welcomed because of my tattoos. but god accepts EVERYONE no matter what they look like or what they have done. why do mormons say they accept all but did not seem to accept me?

In the bible, Jesus gave the command to his followers to celebrate the passover of his death annually, or yearly, in remembrance of him for the sacrifice he gave in behalf of all men. Why do people choose to put main focus on his birth rather than his death when Jesus, in the bible, makes it clear as to which of the two we should follow?

According to the statistical probability that at least 50% of you are reading this, I am hopefully providing time for a person, group, or organization, to submit a question and get a couple good answers in before you bare your teeth and try to tear their beliefs apart. Hopefully I have wasted at least 30 seconds of your time, but please, go ahead and leave long, vicious rants about how I am an idiot for believing in something I can't prove with a map, test tube, telescope or spectrographic analyzer.

mormons only allow selected people in their religion to enter the temple. i do not understand this. they allow other into the other churches but not there? what makes some mormons better than other people so that they can enter but others can not? god welcomes ALL people into him home. his home being his church. if mormons claim to be the only "real" church then should all of his children be able to enter the temple? some say only the most ure can enter. well that is comfusing. NOONE on earth is pure, not the pope, not brigham young and not whoever their current "prohpet" is. you may be forgiven of your sins and be washed white as snow but that is as pure as you can gte on earth. i have done that so why cant i enter?

how can this be when god says there is none before, none after me? some have answered this by saying that there are gods for other planets. back to what the bible said, there is none before and none after me. so how can you believe somethign that is taught to you but the bible plainly says otherwise?

First of all I ask this question in the view of Abrahamic Monotheism.

I am in conflict. I want to be a correct muslim, but I just can't believe in the theory of creation. I know its in the Bible, in the Qur'an. But its just doesn't make sense to me. Instead, I see more sense in evolution, I truly believe that's what happened.

Can I have a mixed belief? Can I accept the one and only God? In his prophets (Excluding Adam of course)? But at the same time can I believe that this earth is Billions of years old, and that we came from one first living cell?

I cannot be a deist because I want to be muslim.

Please, don't condenm me for asking this question, I'm just a realistic muslim looking for help.
