mormons only allow selected people in their religion to enter the temple. i do not understand this. they allow other into the other churches but not there? what makes some mormons better than other people so that they can enter but others can not? god welcomes ALL people into him home. his home being his church. if mormons claim to be the only "real" church then should all of his children be able to enter the temple? some say only the most ure can enter. well that is comfusing. NOONE on earth is pure, not the pope, not brigham young and not whoever their current "prohpet" is. you may be forgiven of your sins and be washed white as snow but that is as pure as you can gte on earth. i have done that so why cant i enter?

Yes, yes it is quite ridiculous and stupid. Jesus says "come as you are". A church that is following Him should say the same. Try a church that doesn't put rules and restrictions on you. Find a real one, one that's all about the true God, and will let you enter no matter what.

ALL of God's children CAN enter His temple, as long as they are living certain standards HE has set forth. Have you not ever heard "No unclean thing can be in the presence of God"? Since it is HIS house, do you not think He would be able to set the standard of who comes and who doesn't??
And you are right, God does not expect us to be 100% perfect, no one can ever be...but he DOES expect us to try. There are certain things and ways you must be living to enter the temple. It is a sacred place and sacred ordinances are happening there. Do you think it could or would remain sacred if every joe blow thought he should go in and see what it was all about? I think not. Even some people who go, who are not spiritually prepared find it uncomfortable because they are not ready to accept the covenants they have made.
Every child of God is welcome to attend a church service, become a member through baptism and confirmation, and live worthily the set standards to enter the temple. That is an opportunity for ALL. No one is excluded.
I challenge you to try it! It is a WONDERFUL blessing to be a member of the Lord's church and attend the temple!!!

Porto Alegre Brazil Temple in southern Brazil is the 102nd Mormon temple. The temple follows the recent LDS pattern of building numerous temples that are much smaller than previous temples.

An LDS church manual called Preparing to Enter the Holy Temple explains that Latter-day Saints "do not discuss the temple ordinances outside the temples." Further, the manual states:

"It was never intended that knowledge of these temple ceremonies would be limited to a select few who would be obliged to ensure that others never learn of them. It is quite the opposite, in fact. With great effort the church urges every soul to qualify and prepare for the temple experience."

However, to experience the temple first hand, one needs to convert to the faith, and then (after a year's membership) obtain a temple recommend to enter. The recommend is obtained from and signed by the member's bishop after passing a one-on-one worthiness interview, in which one's commitment to the gospel is reviewed. The recommend is also signed by the member's stake president after a second one-on-one worthiness interview, and finally by the member themselves. By signing his or her own recommend, the member acknowledges their responsibility to ensure that they remain worthy to hold the recommend. Once issued a recommend remains valid for a period of two years.

To qualify for a temple recommend, one must faithfully affirm a series of questions examining what the church believes are the most important factors indicating one's spiritual worthiness.

Absolutely no non-Mormons can enter the temple.
