I am an American living in Qatar and have to say that every Muslim I have met here has been friendly and helpful. I also like the fact that there is very little crime here and you can go out at night with out being afraid. Realize that most Americans are bigoted because of 911 and the Gulf wars. They see only what the news media wants them to see.

Islam and Muslim people are not much different to Christians and Christian people.
It made me laugh to see the answer from 'whitehors'!! Didn't Jesus lead his followers away from the 'true' religion?? And create the impression that he was (and Christians believe still is) God!!
What a load of guff it all is!!
Underneath all this religion there are real people trying to come out, if they all hadn't been fed such a load of cra* the world would be a far better place!!

Islam is a beautiful religion. The silent majority of Muslims are good, peace-loving people. However, a small minority are misguided zealots, who not only preach to kill followers of other religions but also their own co-religionists who differ with them. Unfortunately,as is usual in such cases, this small minority of fanatics are very active. They are tarnishing the image of a beautiful religion and have made Islam a very dreadful thing to appear. These lunatics are the worst kinds of human beings on the face of the earth. In fact they don't deserve to be called human beings. They are worse than animals.

I don't really know enough about the religion to judge (which I shouldn't judge anyhow).....I have a few Muslims in my classes though and they seem just like everybody else, but they are American Muslims and I don't know if it makes a different whether they were born here or across the sea.

I'm WIccan and I think that they are just fine. People think the terrorists and extremists are how real Muslims think and act. It's not and it never has been. I'm not defying the fact that there are unpleasant people in every religion, because I agree with that very much, but I think Muslims and the Islam religion and very misunderstood.

What do you think about any religion and their followers or believers? We are people just like everybody else. We believe in our god just like others and their god. We all have our own opinion on who's GOD and what religion is correct and false. So no one has the right to say what religion is wrong or right because I'm pretty sure whatever religion we believe in there's someone who objects it.

They are people like you and I. The have feelings, beliefs, needs, families. They are looking for meaning in their lives....they are diverse like us....not all share common ideas, thoughts, goals....
Their food is different than mine and I can not say having been there that it is my favorite but to each their own.

I can't answer this question because some Muslims are crazy lunatics while others are peaceful people. I guess it all depends on who you're talking about.

The Muslims are dear individuals fearfully and wonderfully made by God. Islam is a false teaching that leads people away from their Savior Jesus Christ, who is "the way, the truth, and the life"!
