Just curious - is the Bible the only way for God to communicate with people? Also, the question might be - are we part of the race of humans, or are we part of the race of gods? If our spirit is eternal, and if there is life after death, then obviously we are more than human. If you look around you, you see children growing up to resemble their parents and engage in similar activities. There is only one supreme God, the God that we worship and pray to. But there are at least 2 references in the Bible which say we are the children of God. What does that mean to you? It's not a strange concept. It just means that we are still very, very young and growing. No one is going to replace God, so again, what you have said is also true, but there is more to life than meets the eye.

I guess your Bible doesn't have this passage:
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

My understanding is ::
"As man is God once was, as God is man may become."
They believe that God was once a man and a man can become a God.. Heard it quoted many times..
I found this researching it..
God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens!...........It is the first principle of the gospel to know for a certainty the character of God........yea, that God himself, the father of us all, dwelt on an earth, the same as Jesus Christ himself did; and I will show it from the Bible...." (from Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith and History of the Church, 6:302-17)

Exaltation is eternal life, the kind of life God lives. He lives in great glory. He is perfect. He possesses all knowledge and all wisdom. He is the Father of spirit children. He is a creator. The Bible says we are heirs of God. Our inheritance is that we can become like our Heavenly Father.

People believe what they want to hear.
For there will be a period of time they they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but , in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled. and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories.

that is extremely interesting which you weren't in any respect taught the theory of exaltation once you have been a Mormon. it quite is one among our challenge-free teachings and new individuals discover out approximately of their first 300 and sixty 5 days whilst they take the Gospel concepts path. i'm assuming you a minimum of examine your scriptures once you have been a Mormon and proceed to examine them now? the thought of exaltation and turning out to be like our Father in Heaven is biblical and that i ask your self why different Christian sects have rejected the thought of our divine nature and exaltation whilst the scriptures make it so sparkling. Romans 8:sixteen-17 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the youngsters of God: And if infants, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we go through with him, that we'd be additionally glorified mutually. Luke 12:40 4 And the Lord pronounced, Who then is that trouble-free and clever steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his kinfolk, to furnish them their factor of meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord whilst he cometh shall discover so doing. Of a certainty I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath See additionally Matthew 25:21 and Revelations 25:5. and of path we've cutting-ingredient-day revelation from God: Doctrine & Covenants 132: 20-23 Then shall they be gods, because of fact they haven't any end; for this reason shall they be from eternal to eternal, because of fact they proceed; then shall they be exceptionally, because of fact all issues are challenge unto them. Then shall they be gods, because of fact they have all skill, and the angels are challenge unto them.
