I mean, Christianity and religion HELP people, give them the strength to go on. Make people happy. My step-grandma wouldn't have lasted as long as she did without God. Religion gives people strength and will (mind over matter), so why are there people out there going out of their way to take it away from them? Are they just bored? Or are they just sick minded? I want a SERIOUS answer. Thanks.

...then why not come to church and find out for yourself? There are friendly Christian congregations almost everywhere!

Church is about worshipping God, not judging other people. No one is perfect, but by God's awesome love and Jesus' resurrection, anyone can be forgiven and healed.

A church fellowship is also about building strong communities, connecting with neighbors, and making new friends. In addition to the usual Sunday-morning worship, most churches offer extra worship services, Bible-study groups, community service, volunteer opportunities, outreach programs and other activities throughout the week.

Won't you join us this Sunday?

And belief in a God more common among the poorer educated masses? (This was asserted by a religious man interviewed on "Speaking of Faith" this week.)

If so, how is dialogue possible?

As imperfect humans, sometimes our pride gets in the way of accepting the "truth". Sometimes we may not like or want to accept the truth because it's inconvenient for us. Since God gave us free will, obviously so that our worship to him would be voluntary and from the heart, wouldn't that mean that we should serve God HIS way and not ours no matter how inconveniant we might think it is? Shouldn't we strive to serve God HIS and not pick and choose whatever religious beliefs suit our preference?

I believe that noone can prove to anyone that Jesus is the Son of God, no preacher or no book. For me when I asked God to show me the truth about Jesus, he did. That anyone of faith in Christ can do is spread the message. So ask that all you non-believers ask God to tell you, and let me know if He answered. take 10 minutes to ask God to prove it to you and tell me if you accept that proof, why and why not. Please don't respond unless you tried and really wanted to know. I'll be watching my email.

If
God= all knowing, and the origin of all things, and all things = good things, and also= Satan, and Satan= Evil, then it is reasonable to say that since God created all things, God= Evil+Good.

So if there is a Christian God, he's two sided. Watch out.

People of other belief systems make a big fuss about their right to wear something that defines the ideas they hold to be important, whether they are crosses, hijabs, turbans, yamekahs, or whatever. Would people of faith support my right to wear my spiritual ideology so ostentatiously?

My Master and also your Master (if you accept Him) makes emphasis that man should have faith in God to perform perfectly good actions.

"...when a person performs a good action, although it is praiseworthy, if it is not caused by the love and knowledge of God, it is imperfect. Moreover, if you reflect justly, you will see that these good actions of other men who do not know God are also fundamentally caused by the teachings of God -- that is to say, that the former Prophets led men to perform these actions, explained their beauty to them, and declared their splendid effects; then these teachings were diffused among men and reached them successively, one after the other, and turned their hearts toward these perfections. When men saw that these actions were considered beautiful, and became the cause of joy and happiness for mankind, they conformed to them."
(Abdu'l-Baha, Some Answered Questions, p. 304)

I wish to know your opinions about doing good in obedience to the One True God.
