No ~ you make a good point. Jesus was a walking prophecy that the majority had a hard time accepting. His true followers knew that the only thing He appeared to teach and want to spread was love, love for your friends, love for your family, love for your enemy, love for your neighbor. If we all did that , this world would be awesome. But that's why it's called heaven.

He meant the truth, not the scribes or the old testaments selfish truths, but the new covenant. The new covenant most could not believe until it was too late..:o[

The 4 books of The New Testaments are not the Gospel. The Gospel is a part of the 4 books. Easily discernable. What are the words of Jesus and what are the words of NT Writers.

The Lord Jesus used what Christians call the OT or what Jews call the Bible whenever He refered to scripture. A parousal of a reference bible will bare this out.

because ther eare two main meanings of the word gospel, jesus meant the good news

the gospel originall meant the message of salvation, the good news

it also came to mean the first four books being called the gospels, the gospel according to Matthew Mark Luke and John, a slightly differnt meaning and were written within decades of Jesus death not centuries

"This is the good news" Mark 1:1
"This is the gospel" 1 Corinthians 15

It was Christ who sent his disciples to preach his Gospel,and that was without any hint of any harm to himself, but the Bible gives us the Gospels of Jesus of the Cross who were Two Thieves Crucified.
The Messiah was free and away from crucifixion even before the crosses arrived at Golgotha.
The Gospels attempt to put the cart before the horse with a Satanic Angel adding "Jesus" to Christ.

Actually the word Gospel means good news, so basically Jesus was telling his disciples to go out into all the world and spread the good news about the salvation that Jesus was offering them. It is the same message today that we are to spread. That message is that Jesus willingly gave his life for our sins on the cross, and that he was buried for three days and on the third day he rose again. If we put our trust in him we will have eternal life.

Sheesh! Man you sure know how to complicate things!
Jesus taught this, his followers did it and wrote it down, what makes this so complicated? The word gospel means the "good news" which is that Jesus came and died for your sins, for you to have eternal life. This is the gospel. It was taught by Jesus to a faithful 12, they spread the word, some of the followers wrote it down.

Not very long 77greyghost. Words of God was written, first by God Himself;
Deut 5:22 - "These are the commandments the LORD proclaimed in a loud voice to your whole assembly there on the mountain from out of the fire, the cloud and the deep darkness; and he added nothing more. Then he wrote them on two stone tablets and gave them to me."

And the last to write them was John;
Rev 1:9 "I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus".

Rev 10:4 - "And when the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven say, "Seal up what the seven thunders have said and do not write it down."

God allowed what is and what is not to be written.

Even Jesus himself refer to it;
Luke 3:3-5 - "3He went into all the country around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. 4As is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet: "A voice of one calling in the desert, 'Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him. 5Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill made low. The crooked roads shall become straight, the rough ways smooth.

The Bible, the book, where the words of God was written was already existing, on the time of Christ and the apostles, and its the same book that we use today.
