Matthew 24-30

"The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade had sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the house-holder came and said Sir, didst thou not sow good seed in they field?...Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn."

My Neighbour just told me she is Pagan and is raising her girls to be strict pagan, when my husband found out he didn't like the idea of our girls going over to play without us there anymore. Does anyone know what all this religion is about and should I be worried about my kids going to her house?

Isn't it sad that many of sikh people are chopping off their hair just for their comfort or their self made reasons. I think they are forgetting the scarifices made by their Guru's for creating this Identity.Whatever reasons they have to believe for doing this, I think a true Sikh shall never cope up with those belives. What can be done to stop this?

Does it not suit the people - who are willing too exploit us to have us believe in a afterlife, and does it not make us put up with anything, and not do anything about it, apart from pray and sulk?

I think we all have great sympathy for the victim of a crime, and their families. However, my question is this...

Do you ever wonder about the families of the condemned, and how they are dealing with their loved ones impending execution??

‘Tempting Faith’ author David Kuo worked for Bush from 2001 to 2003

More than five years after President Bush created the Office of Faith-Based Initiatives, the former second-in-command of that office is going public with an insider’s tell-all account that portrays an office used almost exclusively to win political points with both evangelical Christians and traditionally Democratic minorities.

The office’s primary mission, providing financial support to charities that serve the poor, never got the presidential support it needed to succeed, according to the book.

with every questions and answers i read the same thing keeps coming up from muslim people.the quran says this the quran says that,i appreciate your, [i think] misguided beliefs. but where is the proof.i dont know alot about religion all it seems to do is cause death.but yet people all over the world claim its true is it not just a case of brainwashing from birth by your parents as they were brainwashed by theres and soforth.the same applies for the bible but if i was to choose which were true ide choose the bible because that is what i was tought from an early age.though i myself am not particularly religious.and yes i guess i was brainwashed too.but choose to take religion very lightly.please show me proof mohammed ,allah exist.you cant its that simple.ill give you an example of why i dont believe.the tsunami who were the people mostly killed.[muslims] the pakistani earthquake [muslims] why would allah do this to his own people it just doesnt add up.

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in Heaven is perfect"
Matthew 5:48

Notice He does not say "Try to be perfect...". He does not say "Do your best to be perfect...". He tells you to be as perfect as God.

Have you become as perfect as God, in accordance with Jesus' instruction in Matthew 5:48?

Or is Jesus making a mistake by expecting too much from you and any human?

Looking at all of these christian role models - Bush, Foley, DeLay, Limbaugh, Falwell, Jim Baker, Tammy Faye Baker, to name a few- all supported by a conservative portion of the population with money, votes and blind verbal support, I wonder how so many people could be so easily duped? In the bible it clearly states you would know a tree by its fruits.
So why do christians have the highest divorce rate of any social group in the US? The divorce rate for born-agains is 62%, the nationwide avarage is just 49%
Why are christian teens who go through abstinance programs (where they learn that condoms aren't effective) more likely to contract veneral disease than their non-christian peers - by a rate of 9.65%?
So the flock is following it's leaders it seems - but why do you call yourselves christians?

not just a respected prophet, as claimed by Islam, it will condemn every Muslim on earth to be destroyed...at Armageddon. And any Muslim who dies prior to this will, according to Revelation 20; 12,13, will be resurrected back to a world operating on a system that to them is totally alien. Comments?

Many verses in the bible (both testaments) make women much inferior to men:

1)Wives should submit to their husbands

"Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything." (Ephesians 5:22-24)

2)Silence the women:

"Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church." (I Corinthians 14:34-35)

"Let the women learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve... (I Timothy 2:11-14)
