‘Tempting Faith’ author David Kuo worked for Bush from 2001 to 2003

More than five years after President Bush created the Office of Faith-Based Initiatives, the former second-in-command of that office is going public with an insider’s tell-all account that portrays an office used almost exclusively to win political points with both evangelical Christians and traditionally Democratic minorities.

The office’s primary mission, providing financial support to charities that serve the poor, never got the presidential support it needed to succeed, according to the book.

Most of them were.

I think less of them do now. We'll see soon if enough have "seen the light" to kick the Repugnicans out of the Senate and House.

However, religion doesn't really encourage independent thinking, so there are many that still will. Once a sheep, always a sheep, for the most part.

I support Pres Bush without hesitation. I believe he was put where he is by God - for whatever reasons, good or bad. I think he is doing a good job.

why is it you liberals think everyone who doesn't vote your way was stupid and duped...people are capable of independent thought and do not need the government to tell them anything...this is why you keep losing elections...really...if the DNC ever figures out that if they just treated people as intelligent, independent, thoughtful people instead of ridiculing, dismissing large groups of voters they might actually win something...god forbid.

ohh..and PBS is about as Liberal as it gets so they are not an independent resource, try again..

I was not duped. I am proud of our President. The only people that have been douped are the Democrats. They still think Clinton was a good president.
