I have to make jingles or find music which will be used on Ramzan (or is it Ramadan)?related programs. What kind of music and instruments would be suitable? And is there a site where I can gather more info or dl mp3s?

Music of religious songs and 'tawasheeh' = hymns would be suitable for a programme in Ramadan. Intruments: oriental ones if you know Qanoon and Ood and more importantly rytheme, drums and dof (sorry can't remember the word in English!!!)

Thought music was haram esp during ramadan.
That is what I was told by asian muslims round here.

I recommend that you listen to nasheeds not just in the month of ramadan, all year round.
