I have developed feelings for this girl at my church…and I want to take her out on a date to get to know her better and we do share so much in common… Anywho…, it does seem kind of funny (strange like) to do so at church, after all, it is not a bar…

Church is just as good a place as any to ask someone out. At least you know their beliefs are the same as yours.

why not? after all asking her for a date would seem all right as you already have several things in common and see nothing wrong with taking her aside and asking her out. the worse thing she could say is " no thank you " but then She might say " yes " until you ask you will never know the answer. go for it and good luck.

I don't see that there is a problem there. It is not as though you are going to be making out in the middle of the service. You are simply asking her out. How nice to find someone you are interested in, let alone at church!
