Dear Nitrous McBread,

I really don't know the answer to the age of the world and I definitely don't lose any sleep wondering about it. And I wonder if knowing exactly how old the world is will make you in any way a better person.

I DO know that I have an unlimited number of things that I DO want to do with the limited amount of time in a day. Reading the Bible which helps me to know the One who does know the answer to your question is a far better use of my time.

In answer to your second question - I didn't really even start living UNTIL I was born again. I went from feeling as though I were drowning in quicksand and molasses to breathing fresh pure air. I went from feeling like a diabetic who eats nothing but cotton candy to a perfectly healthy person.

Try praying the sinner's prayer and tell our heavenly Father that you want to be in a right relationship with Him. I am quite sure that you will find it to be the best use of your time and gifts.

Of course the world isn't only 6000 years old.

Now, in 1975 human governments had then been around for 6000 years, but to that is another story.

As far as Born Again christians..... You can't be serious.
First of all being born again is a spiritual birth to a higher purpose, and one of those purposes would be to reign with Christ in his Heavenly Kingdom.

Most humans have a hope of living forever on Earth under that Kingdom.

10 And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. 11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. Psalms 37:10,11

To time indefinite they will certainly be guarded;
But as for the offspring of the wicked ones, they will indeed be cut off. 29 The righteous themselves will possess the earth,
And they will reside forever upon it. Psalms 37:28b,29

I believe the world (earth) is older than 6k years. I believe the universe to be about 14 billion years old + or - a few. I think born again believers are more grown up than those that aren't born again.

I wasn't there whilst the earth became created. I have not have been given any concept how previous the earth is. The 6000 years comes from including up all the generations listed interior the Bible for the family individuals tree of Jesus. it incredibly is available that the family individuals tree is representative and not finished. on the different hand, in line with risk it fairly is. The conflict is provided in with the thought of evolution and courting strategies. Evolution demands an fairly long term and an previous earth. creation took 6 days. The courting strategies of fossils date them at tens of millions of years previous. i've got appeared on the courting strategies and that they make experience to me. They do assume that 0.5 lifes have remained consistent. possibly they did no longer. there is the possibility that God elderly the rocks and the fossils absorbed the somewhat some aspects of the rocks around them. on the top of the day, i think of shall we wager and debate all day long approximately how previous the earth is. in my view, it incredibly is not any longer that huge of deal to me.

You have 2 question here runnig into each other, I am A American, USA. There was a Prehistoric time period, I know this is contrary against many Christians teachings, BUt it is very simple, If you read the Bible Correctly, This question I have answer many times, But to answer it again Go to Gen 9:1 Read it & see what God told Noah, REPLINISH the earth or to fill it up AGAIN. Go to Gen1:28 God told Adam & Eve to REPLINISH the earth or to fill it up AGAIN. Now do you want to see the Missing Link, Look at the Serpent, HE WAS NOT A SNAKE, He was an upright creature that God had resurrect from that Prehistoric time period. The Prehistoric could have lasted for millions of years But when God decide to destroy those Creatures, He just took the planet far enough away from the sun to cause The Ice Age, & that could have lasted for millions of yrs. Then I see God bringing the earth slowly back into a relationship with the sun to bring forth life again. That Creature in the garden was not a snake, Some might say, this guy is crazy. One word can make a difference, & this word is REPLINISH which means to fill it up AGAIN. That creature walked Upright & was to be a servent that was to do ALL the manual labor for Adam, You can find all of this in Gen. Chapter 1, 2 ,3 & 4. Now watch the curse God put on the Serpent, & by the way this serpent was NOT A SON of God, & neither did he have a soul. & IT was NOT an apple that EVE took of, Because right there in Genesis It states EVERY TREE IN THE GARDEN WAS GOOD FOR FOOD (EVERY TREE) that grew out of the groud, But there was 2 trees that was in the MIDST of the garden That did NOT GROW OUT OF THE GROUND, & these 2 trees was actually 2 laws that God put in the Garden & they were the laws of Reproduction. Not let's look at that missing Link, After & not until, it already, But after the sexual relationship with that serpent, in Gen.3:14 God told the serpent Thou are cursed Above ALL animals, & UPON THY BELLY SHALL THOU GO, That is when God change that upright creature that was to do the work for Adam , into the reptile family, & Those 2 laws (TREES) was the law of reproduction, It was set up That every so often Eve will come into the season to bring another Son or Daughter of God, She had that laying within her,just like the animal kingdom does now, Since the curse, God told Eve, I will greatly multiply thou sorrow & thou CONCEPTION, to where there is NO woman can tell when she can concieved, Because God added her Conception more than what was intended to in the beginning & after God got to Adam He told Adam that Adam will work the ground from thou sweat, Why, because he lost that serpent after the sin was commited, & that serpent AFTER & not BEFORE THE FALL, was an upright creature that could talk to Adam & Eve, This serpent Is not Satan, but it was satan that got into the serpent thinking,. Now to your 2nd question, Yes Born again Christians does grow up, That is why when we first get save, We have so much zeal, But as time goes on we have to come off the milk of the word of God & get some Meat to eat.(Spiritually speaking,) The Bible tells us to grow in the knowledge of the Son of God. I know many chritians will disagree with what I said, But I have been in THe TRUTH for over 36 yrs.

It is sad, but true... about 50% of the US population believes that. They ALSO believe in such things as:

*  a universe in which all that exists are the earth and heaven
*  solid 'firmament' structure (the sky) separating the earth from heaven (terrarium earth)
*  talking snakes (with legs) and donkeys
*  shepherd staff turning into an asp
*  demons chased out of people and into pigs
*  friendly spirits
*  evil spirits
*  walking on water
*  multiplying loaves and fishes
*  food falling from the sky
*  conception by a ghost
*  people raising from the dead
*  the sun stopping in its tracks
*  parting seas
*  people being bodily sucked up into heaven (which, by the way, lies on the 'other side' of the sky)
*  world-wide flood that drowned the earth to a depth of 40 feet above the tallest mountain
*  creating people from dust bunnies and ribs
*  magical tree of knowledge
*  god speaking from a burning bush
*  ritual cannibalism, by eating god in the form of a cracker

Yes I do. And you honestly believe the earth is billions of years old? Can't you see because you're unwillingly blind, or because you refuse to take your hands off your eyes?
