WWII had nothing to do with religion? Are you insane?... not to mention the Revolutionary war (have you read the constitution lately - "freedom of religion")

Egypt's war against Israel in 1973 was to restore the violated land of Sinai though it was between muslims and christian Egyptians against jews.

Though the Egyptian army had both Muslims and Christians side by side, they were both fighting for the Egyptian dignity. And they won the war.

as another person answered the American Civil War and Revolutionary War. there are others but these are the two that come to mind the quickest.

I don't think there has been a religious war since the middle ages, there are probably one sided wars like the jihad now days.
