differences in beliefs, or the way we present our thoughts, opinions, etc to others.
I'm not only talking about people of different religions, but even slight differences in beliefs among the same religion (i.e. doctrinal differences in Christian denominations).

Could it be that people have a natural need to talk about religion and spirituality, but because they feel like people might judge them for telling them their beliefs, they go to a place like Yahoo Answers Religion and Spirituality section to express their beliefs?

Even atheists, when given an anonymous place like this, seem like they like to talk about religion (even if it is them venting negative opinions about it).

We, Muslims are not the only ones who believe that Jesus (peace be upon him) is mortal and not a god so that means we deny the trinity.

The Jews also reject the trinity, in addition to the very first groups of Christianity such as the Ebonites, the Corinthians, the Basilidians, the Capocratians, and the Hypisistarians never know about trinity doctrine at all. The Arians, Paulicians and Goths also accepted Jesus (peace be upon him) as a prophet of God and against the trinity.

Even in the modern age there are churches in Asia, in Africa, the Unitarian church, the Jehovah's witnesses, and even the majority of today's Anglican Bishops do not worship Jesus (peace be upon him) as one in three, as what been report by the "Daily News" 25/6/84 under the heading "Shock survey of Anglican Bishops."

Moreover, the 'Socinianism', the 17th-century Christian also rejects such traditional doctrines as the Trinity and original sin, the founder is Socinus, and his Latinized name of Lelio Francesco Maria Sozzini (1525-1562), the Italian Protestant theologian.

Johannes Greber (1874) a former of Catholic priest in his book 'The Communication with the Spirit World of God' in page 371 was written, "As you see, the doctrine of a triune Godhead is not only contrary to common sense, but is entirely unsupported by the Scriptures". So another priest who was deny the trinity.

A theologians, Edouard Schillebeeckx of the Netherlands in 1979 was writings some article that rejects the doctrine of the Trinity. This caused concern to the Vatican.

Without using anything other than your own life and experiences. So no "science" or anything else outside yourself.

If you did not have good non-fiction reference books to use. What lessons would you attempt to teach from them?

Please explain why or why not.

To be very clear, this means defending the religion, faith or lack thereof without using holy texts like the Christian Bible, the Koran, the Torah, the text written by the Flying Spaggetti Monster, or even non-holy text like science textbooks. Also teaching by religious figures, unless it is yourself is disallowed. You do not actually have to defend the faith, for I do not care what it is as long as it is what you chose to live with and fulfils your needs. I just wish to know if you could defend why you have it(not have it) at need without drawing upon outside sources, beyond personal experience.

Oh and yes I know this type of question will upset some, but I am curious if any would find it possible. The question is asked so that I may have answers.

Where in the OLD TESTAMENT does it prophesy that if Israel and Judah reject the NT that the gentiles get the opportunity? Seeing how both Jews and Christians are indeed still teaching their neighbors about the Lord...How in any way shape or form could the NT possibly be in effect? Not only does it outline the new covenant but it says what will happen as a result and uh, those results just are not happening. The Jewish community isn't in contradiction here but the Christians sure as heck are.

I don't need to hear the typical atheist/non-believer criticisms. I was a believer for over 30 years and it was reading the bible in context, without all the apologetic rhetoric, that brought me the truth.

The axiom which you apply in all your scientific researches, 'There is no effect without a cause.' Search out the cause of whatever is not the work of man, and reason will furnish the answer to your question.

To assure ourselves of the existence of God, we have only to look abroad on the works of creation. The universe exists, therefore it has a cause. To doubt the existence of God is to doubt that every effect has a cause, and to assume that something can have been made by nothing.

Another innocent man has been kidnapped and beheaded by Muslims in the name of Allah, simply because he was a Christian.

"The relatives of a Christian priest who was kidnapped and beheaded in Iraq have said that his Muslim captors had demanded his church condemn the pope's recent comments about Islam and pay a US$350,000 ransom."

It's like they are saying "APOLOGIZE OR DIE!"
Innocent Christians all over the world are being targeted by Muslims, simply because they are Christian.
How peaceful is that?

How many incidents do you see where Muslims are targeted by violent acts simply because they are Muslim?

(note: references to the Iraq war will be laughed at)

Just think about it.... God put us all here to make our own choices in life! We are given a line to follow, but we chose whether we follow it or not! We either succeed or fail!

this is an old Disney movie about two adolescent girls wreaking havok in an all girls catholic school run by nuns. The more troublesome of the girls, Mary, played by Haley Mills, elects upon graduation to stay and become a nun. Her best friend is shocked by this and wails to the sister superior,"How did you get her to cave in like that?" The sister superior replies, "You know Mary, and nobody on this earth could ever get her to cave in to anything. She CHOSE, and I would rather have one like her who chose than a hundred who cave."

why don't Christians believe this anymore--or if they do, why do they keep trying to get people to cave in instead?

Like Millingo did in Africa by marrying that they will really do anything about the laws against marriage in the Clergy? I don't. I think it is proof they were not of us to start with..They don't believe that God is in control of the Vatican through the Pope
