The axiom which you apply in all your scientific researches, 'There is no effect without a cause.' Search out the cause of whatever is not the work of man, and reason will furnish the answer to your question.

To assure ourselves of the existence of God, we have only to look abroad on the works of creation. The universe exists, therefore it has a cause. To doubt the existence of God is to doubt that every effect has a cause, and to assume that something can have been made by nothing.

What is to be thought of the opinion that attributes the first formation of things to a fortuitous combination of matter, in other words, to chance?

Another absurdity! Who that is possessed of common sense can regard chance as an intelligent agent? And, besides, what is chance? Nothing.

The harmony which regulates the mechanism of the universe can only result from combinations adopted in view of predetermined ends, and thus, by its very nature, reveals the existence of an Intelligent Power. To attribute the first formation of things to chance is nonsense for chance cannot produce the results of intelligence. If chance could be intelligent, it would cease to be chance.

Will man ever become able to comprehend the mystery of the Divinity?

When his mind shall no longer be obscured by matter, and when, by his perfection, he shall have brought himself nearer to God, be will see and comprehend Him.

The inferiority of the human faculties renders it impossible for man to comprehend the essential nature of God. In the infancy of the race, man often confounds the Creator with the creature, and attributes to the former the imperfections of the latter. But, in proportion as his moral sense becomes developed, man's thought penetrates more deeply into the nature of things, and he is able to form to himself a juster and more rational idea of the Divine Being, although his idea of that Being must always be imperfect and incomplete.

Selective logic

"The universe exists, therefore it has a cause" - You apply that statement to matter and energy, but feel justified not to apply it to God. Using your logic, one could say the same thing "God exists, therefore he has a cause". What logic allows you to establish the permanence of God, but not the permanence of matter and energy?

You allow the misuse of statistics to convince you that something that is rare is impossible. Life is not impossible if it has long odds for occuring spontaneously, it is simply rare. You have perfect examples of it every day. The odds of winning a lottery is tens of millions to one. Yet someone wins every day. Well, were a winner of a cosmic lottery. If we weren't the winner, we'd not be around to argue about it. So we're inspired by chance, not by divine intervention.

That which is known about God is evident within them
for God made it evident to them
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes
His eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen
being understood through what has been made
so that they are without excuse. Romans 1:19-20

And those who diligently seek me will find me. Proverbs 8:17

That was long.To your question what proof do we have.I`ll put it simply. If someone doesn`t want to believe and says that they don`t feel God then no one will be able to convince that person that God exist. All the arguments arn`t going to change that oppion.God is something that you feel ,that you know with in yourself that he is.You might have doubts at sometime in life, you might question but there always remains down deep with in yourself that he is there within you and around you.God is in all things.and mankind has always felt him and searched for answers.

He is the creater, sustainer of all things. He continues to be longsuffering not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. At this point in time lost sinners can come to him for salvation.

Argument from ignorance. 'Just look around you for evidence of god!' Well, I don't see any evidence. I see nothing that couldn't have had a natural cause. But I'll buy your evidence if you can show me something that wasn't made by god for comparison.

The only proof I need is in my Bible, even though I've never seen him, I believe in God by Faith.
