In English, it's YHWH, vowels unknown. Usually translated as Yahweh or Jehovah.
Jehovah is not the name He gave himself, but it is the most commonly used in the English language. It is a combination of YHWH (Latinized into JHVH), and uses the vowels of the Hebrew Word Adonai which means "lord" in Hebrew.
Yahweh could possibly be the name that He gave to himself since it uses the real Hebrew consonants. But since the vowels are uncertain, no one knows for sure. Notice that Hallelujah, although written with a "j" is actually pronounced as a "y".
Yahweh is closer to the original name, but Jehovah has been in use longer (about 400 years) and thus, more traditional. It's pointless to quibble over which is "better" since neither one can be proven to be correct and either name will distinguish Him.

THis could very well be a trick question. There are two Lords in the scriptures. There is Jehovah and Elohim. Jehovah or Christ was given the power and athority to create the heavens and the Earth. Yet when Christs earlthly ministry was taking place he spoke of Elohim ( His father) Two seperate individuals. curious no?

Depending on who you ask, Christian, Jew, or Muslim, God DOES have many names. In the Bible, as He revealed His Names, He revealed more about Himself.
God, being Who He Is, spoke the Heavens and Earth into existance.

JHVH OR YHWH . We use Jehovah for English and i've seen Jehova Iehova in other languages. Notice how many words use Jah,, Hallelujah means praise Jah. Many prophets and bible writers - Jeremiah, Isaiah, Elijah, Hezekiah, Obadiah, Hannaniah, etc.. and many, many more.
