It wouldn't be like we worship the statue but like it's just a thing on earth that we can see until Jesus comes back...?

I've read and saw a lot of answers and quetions of non-believer tryna explain away the truth of God and Christ. But I still havnt seen a good answwer or a good atempt to explain why the world we live in is organized.According to science if everything is random, then shouldnt some peoples heads be where their feet are?or private parts where the nose is?Or eyes in the back of the head?Wouldnt the random univers form water in the sky or trees that grow unside down? Not that it doesnt maybe happen every couple million years(according to scientist) but why arnt planets and moons shooting all over the place like balls on a pool table instead of in there tight obits like now?And why dont we get engulfed by blackholes at random?Would you care to explain why everything is or atleast appears organized if there is no god?
I mean that is right isnt it?If we were an unanticipated event why isnt everything spiraling out of control like scietific theory says.Ive heard most excuses for no god.this one?

Question to Christians: While we should never force religion upon anyone, nor deny anyone’s right to free religious expression and practice, should we as Christians compromise the truth of the Gospel in order to show respect for other religions of the world? Is it not possible to show respect for every individual while still exposing the deception of false religions as Christ has commanded us to do? After all, if we don’t need Christ to be saved, why did He go to the cross? And if we need Him, how can we turn our backs to those who do not know Him?

I do not understand why words like arrogance and intolerance are so often associated with those who boldly stand behind the words that were not spoken by any man, by Christ Himself (even among Christians!)….Who are the faithful ones who truly believe in Christ and the Gospel - and are not ashamed of it, or Him??

Okay, so I've been looking and listening to Jerry Springer nature of this section and have come to the conclusion that all of the religious people here are totally brainwashed. I thought the whole basis of religion was to be unified in one belief, one god. Please explain how you all could believe in god but all don't believe the same things.

So, I went to my friends sunday school class and I asked specifically "do you believe that if you are good and do not believe in god you are going to hell but if you are bad and believe in god you're going to heaven?"

their answer was yes. sucks for me seeing as i'm an atheist.

I asked this question about 2 months ago and got thought-provoking, wonderful answers, so here I am, asking it again.

I respect all religions/beliefs/etc...But I believe strongly in my own. I am open to debates, discussions, etc..Feel free to email me if you wish to discuss/debate something..Thanks and God Bless you all!

I am curious about other denominations besides my own and was wondering how they differ and compare. Please state your denomination and just tell me anything you would like about it. I respect differences and am not biased in any way. I am Lutheran. I have relatives who are Episcopal, I have friends that are Catholic, Covenant, and Lutheran. I've heard of Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist, and several others. Please give me as much info as you can. Thanks. And this question is by no means to be taken offensively, I dont mean offense to anyone, just making that clear, I respect your beliefs so please respect mine. And feel free to email me if you want to. God Bless!

I mean no disrespect with this question. You all know I'm atheist, and I've explained many times why I don't believe.

Will you please take a few moments to tell me why you do believe?

You know that creationism make no sense to me. Why does evolution make no sense to you?

I really don't understand the level of faith required to believe in something that you cannot see, feel, touch, smell or have no evidence of.

Your own words if you will please.

Thank you.

I don't want to quit cussing and my dad tried to convince me that the Bible strongly forbids it. I told him my pastor told me that it's between me and my God. My dad says he doesn't care what my pastor told me, it's a sin and he quoted stuff out of the Bible that didn't really make sense to me. I told him that unless it said it in the red words that cussing is an abomination to God I wasn't worried about it. I don't believe Jesus would be bothered by such a legalistic thing as bad words. I believe Jesus was more concerned about loving one another and taking care of the poor. There's Faith, Hope and Love and the greatest of these is Love. That doesn't jive with forbidding little things. My dad is good at obeying all the stuff you're not supposed to do. He doesn't drink, smoke, cuss, comit adultry, etc. I don't even want to give up my vices...lol.

One of the sites on contradictions in the bible stated that these two verses were contradicting each other.

I say Noel cursed his son, and God said something else. Is this really a contradition please explain.

Genesis 9:21-25
And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father .... And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. And he said, Cursed be Canaan [Ham's son]; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.

Deuteronomy 24:16
The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

We know that we are not to take the Lord's name in vain, and that is ignored everytime someone scores a touchdown, but I haven't found one single reference explaining to me why we can't use words like *** and damn, or any of the other "dirty" words that exist. Chapter and Verse please.
