Hey
I'm a junior at a private high school and we have a religion project. We have to research a patron saint and I'm not sure who to choose. There are patron saints of, say for example, nurses or bakeries, and even television. I don't need a specific name, but does anyone have an idea on a topic from which I can find a patron saint on? thanks

Many people are mad at me...what wimps. I mean, isnt this the type of forum where issues can be fleshed out without murder? You see, in the outside world, issues are fleshed-out...literally...with pounds and pounds of flesh and blood.

Muslims believe they have a religious mandate for murder. Thats CANT be denied. Thats a fact. Responding with "well xians do X" does NOTHING to resolve the issue.

So, whats wrong with examining the idealogical basis for this war and murder (Islam). Maybe after deep scrutiny, I eventually discover that Allah is real and he wants me to kill the hated hated kafir for him (cause hes to busy to)...or maybe, I find its just a bunch of pathetic cavespeak from pathetic ignorant little insecure men who need this type of gimmickery to cope with the Darwinian truth of this world.

God made two lights, the great one to rule the day and the lesser on to rule the night. Can we all agree the moon is not really a light?

I rarely discuss my political affiliations, but I've always wondered if I was the only one, since all the christians I know are devout republicans.

Alright I'm willing to admitt something as a Christian creationist. The argument that "if we evolved from monkeys why are there still monkeys?" is complete foolishness, borders hilarity, and represents a complete lack of understanding of the theory of evolution.

That being said can anyone find humor in this argument?

"The shape of the [two-beamed cross] had it origin in ancient Chaldea, and was used as the symbol of the god Tammuz (being in the shape of the mystic Tau, the initial of his name) in that country and in adjacent lands, including Egypt. By the middle of the 3rd century A.D. the churches had either departed from, or travestied, certain doctrines of the Christian faith. In order to increase the prestige of the apostate ecclesiastical system, pagans were received into the churches apart from regeneration by faith, and were permitted largely to retain their pagan signs and symbols.

I mean it just doesn't make sense. Christians worship him or call him the "son of god". and please don't even mention the so-called "Trinity" because Jesus didn't even mention it. Please stop putting all these lies on our beloved prophet.

After all the universe is approximately 14000,000,000 years old, that's fourteen billion years...and even though Earth itself is not quite that old there has still been ample time for plenty of evolution to occur.
