No, were upset that you are asking such an ignorant question and using God's name in vain.

I wish that one could generalize and say that all Buddhists are peaceful. Unfortunately, not all Buddhists are peaceful. There are violent killers and peaceful saints in every religion and country.
From your tone it appears that you believe that Christians aren't so (expletive) peaceful! That is certainly not true. There are plenty of peaceful Christians. Christianity and many other faiths have often been used as excuses for wars, but the truth is that most wars are caused by greed, egos, and hatred which evryone deals with regardless of religion.
Some Christians are mad at Buddhists because they think that Buddhists are so peaceful because many Christians see Buddhists are passive and not engaged in society. Actually, it is not true. Many Buddhists are engaged politically and socially, as you can see from this link to the Buddhist Peace Fellowship (BPF). BPF actually works in concert with Christians and other faiths often.

Ok, first of all, I am not mad at any religions. There are jerks in every religion, even, sad to say, Christianity.
If anything, I admire that Buddhists live so peacefully, I wish all Christians would seek to make and keep peace with others as well as Buddhists do.
But Christianity itself is a very controversial faith. I try to live as the Bible says I am to live. But part of that way of living is to share my faith with others. This makes people defensive and will often become insulting even when they asked about it in the first place! If you don't want to know, don't ask!
There is a portion of Scripture where Jesus actually tells his disciples to refrain from speaking about their faith when people do not want to listen. No one has ever been "debated" into faith. It's pointless, and stirs up arguments. But just mentioning that I am a Christian is often enough to have people going for the jugular. I try to live at peace with others, but if simply stating that I am a Christian stirs up an argument, so be it.

I think some Christians are upset that Buddhists are gaining Western adherents from people who would historically be Christians.
I personally think Buddhism is attractive to some Westerners because of its tolerance and peacefulness. Something that is often in short supply in many Christian communities.

What's wrong with being a Buddhist or any other peaceful religion, for that matter?

No, but I do get upset when you use my Father's name in a curse word. There is no excuse for cursing here or anywhere. It is a sign that you don't believe what you say is important or believeable.
