The cause of injustice in the world is unjust hearts. Injustice never needed to be a problem in the first place - much less a permanent problem from here on out. What can be done about it is a change of heart. I only know of One who said that He would give a new heart, and He said it in the book of Ezekiel of the Bible. Then the epistles of the New Testament follow up and tell what took place at the new birth.

The causes of injustice are multifarious and complex--ranging anywhere from people's greed to people's prejudgment of others to people's misunderstanding of others' perspectives.

To simplify the cause of injustice, though, one could argue it is because not everyone is aware of divine justice and so believes themselves capable of administering justice competently with only human values and lack thereof as guides.

Another factor to consider is that not all people understand that this world is subjected to spiritual warfare, and so--again--believe their own perceptions and understandings to be accurate. That is, many people don't understand that what they perceive is contingent upon who is winning the battle for their own soul...and they don't understand that their perceptions are based upon whether or not the Father of Good--i.e., God--or the father of darkness (i.e., the devil) owns their soul.

What can be done is to seek an understanding of God's justice. If you ask him to reveal it to you, he very well may.

If you are looking for more practical solutions, there aren't any permanent ones. People will continue to be people--subject to all manner of prejudice, cruelty, selfishness, and so forth--until the end of time. Instituting people's values and senses of justice into law just creates more laws. Laws of the land rarely account for the full scope of human motivation and behavior.

The operative word is tolerance... And, only when we can tolerate one another, without suffering any unjust abuse, will we all live in peace, and justice will be served.
