Many people are mad at me...what wimps. I mean, isnt this the type of forum where issues can be fleshed out without murder? You see, in the outside world, issues are fleshed-out...literally...with pounds and pounds of flesh and blood.

Muslims believe they have a religious mandate for murder. Thats CANT be denied. Thats a fact. Responding with "well xians do X" does NOTHING to resolve the issue.

So, whats wrong with examining the idealogical basis for this war and murder (Islam). Maybe after deep scrutiny, I eventually discover that Allah is real and he wants me to kill the hated hated kafir for him (cause hes to busy to)...or maybe, I find its just a bunch of pathetic cavespeak from pathetic ignorant little insecure men who need this type of gimmickery to cope with the Darwinian truth of this world.

EVERYBODY in humanity has the urge to be a horrific murderer. We only need to punish those who actually succumb to the urges.

Maybe islam has a mandate to rationalize murder, I don't know (a scriptural quote on your part might be of assitance), but don't condemn the entire religion for it. Only those who actually DO it. And if it turns out that EVERYONE actually does it because their religion says so, well... on their own heads be it.

Thank you for amplifying your question! The biggest clue was in your final phrase: Most of what we call "Darwinian" is quite outdated as far as "truth" is concerned. "Survival of the fittest" just doesn't necessarily happen in the real world.

Back to your original question: I think honest scrutiny of anything is a good idea. I suspect that "Self-righteous Islamists," or truly righteous Islamsists, if they actually scrutinized Islam, would not be at war with anybody. Or, self-righteous Christians, if they scrutinized Christianity...

I don't know what's wrong between you and Muslims. Why to generalize and accuse ALL of them.

You may see me as a radical sunni Muslim, and it might be true, but I can say it with a full confidence : When the plane crashes before couple of days into the building in new york I was praying to god for not to be from Muslims.

Do you know why? Because it's wrong.

Not all Muslims, including radicals, are supporting what al qaida is doing. But you like to treat all of them in your sick generalizing illness and put them ALL in one side !!

OK, we might not be in the same faith, but , we as Muslims think that you are having the best infrastructure in the world and you have clean streets and nice universities, but , you are in DARK ages in terms of religion , faith and behaviors.

Can you tell me , what is the difference between the WESTERN way of living and the Greek before 2500 years?

Nothing, it looks like the clock was stopped since then.

So, What in the world make you see yourself better than others?

Technology ? Japan and China are having it.

Faith? You are considered less than any other community.

So , why in the world you consider yourself civilized? You are not even reaching the level of normal street person with this sick style of degrading others!!

Give me a break !

The majority of Muslims are peaceful people. The small minority that is getting noticed are extremists and it's pretty sad. Islam does not equal murder at all. In fact it doesn't even condone killing unless it's done in defense of your self, property, or family. It doesn't condone the killing of innocent lives. It's so sad that the extreme types of Muslims can't see what the Quran is really trying to say. It's so simple.

Hate breeds hate, no matter what form you choose to dress yours in.
You are participating in the very wrong that you hate in a group of people. In hating them, you become them.
There are many factions of Islam. Those with the desire to kill will obviously make the news more than peace-loving ones. Peace isn't considered very news-worthy. ("Nothing in Palestine blew up today." please.)
You are grouping an entire group of people into one tidy little lump to hate. Sounds like someone you were talking about before, don't it?

Well, Christianity has the same murderous basis... Deuteronomy, for example. As for "war"... ummm... welll... we invaded Iraq, you know. Had we gone after the culprits of the World Trade Center attack, we would not be involved in the present quagmire.

I AM SORRY BUT YOU MUST HAVE MISTOOKED OR MISJUDGED!! NOT ALL OF US WANT TO KILL "KAFIRS" AND WE DON'T HAVE MANDATE TO KILL PEOPLES EITHER BECAUSE IN ISLAM KILLING A PERSON MEANS TO KILL THE WHOLE HUMANITY AND TO KILL "KAABA" WHICH NOT A REAL MUSLIM WOULD EVER WANT TO DO HE WILL RATHER DIE. WE ARE NOT CAVESPEAKING EITHER BECAUSE WE WERE THE ONES WHO ACTUALLY FORMS A CIVILIZATION BACK THEN. I AM A MUSLIM AND I WILL APPRECIATE IF YOU REPLY ME BACK. REPLY ME AT syedharis_007@yahoo.com

Most Muslims are peaceful.
That's like saying all Christians are like the folks who run Jesus Camp (google the trailer, it scares me as a Christian)
That's like saying all Mormons are polygamists.

It's generalizing, and it sucks.
My beef with Muslims is they say Jesus was just a prophet and never really died. Jesus, however, never gives us the option to believe He's just a prophet. (See CS Lewis' Jesus Trilemma)
