Yes, that is amusing; in the truest sense of the word. All these black and white view points in a Sea of gray, when truly in the end it matters not at all. It matters not at all right now, but it gives us something to chat about while we race down the path towards the great unknown. We're funny Monkeys, us Humans; we always want to know what comes next, yet We know that We have only the moments We live in right now; intuitively to our essence. We never were, we will never be; we are only in the now. Then, to what? As we never were, and will never be; then it is only the now that we will ever be, I believe in the moment; that is the Sublime; this is what affirms my belief in God; or the One; or whatever It is. Troublesome for me, as mortal I long to know as well, yet I've accepted this as it is; and found peace in not knowing beyond the moment I'm in. Your not going to hell Kiddo, LOL; if there is anything; or nothing; no one from this realm can even begin to comprehend the beyond this life experience; we're on a one way ride express to the final destination; let's hope it's a long run!!

That is pretty amusing they are just repeating what they are told. The thing is how can you be bad and truely believe in God. If you knew that God, omnipotent and omicent, rewards the rightious and punishes the wicked how could you do anything you thought was wicked? If you don't believe that God is omnipotent and omnicent it is kind of like worshiping an Idol.

Your friends are as lost as a goat in a hail storm. When you truly accept Christ into your heart, you understand that all of us are rotten. The difference between a believer and a non believer is that Christ is merciful and forgiving. The more a believer learns about their relationship with Christ through studying the bible, the harder we try to be "good", we fail quite often, but the Lord is always eager to forgive us when we repent. Often He shows us why we failed, what is it we must do to correct our thinking and attitude. There are a ton of Christians who believe they have figured God out and have it down patt, these are the self righteous fools that non believers come across and walk away with the idea that we are all like that. As far as living a good life and going to heaven without belief in Christ, nope. Sorry, "We are saved by grace through faith and not by good deeds so that no one can boast of their great works". It's a lot harder to follow Christ than it is to just do good works for people. But also, when you do follow Christ, doing good works is a reward in itself.

It doesn't suck for you. As an atheist you know that their beliefs are silly and without merit.

There is absolutely no evidence or logical reason to believe in god or hell. I feel sorry for those who have been brainwashed at an early age and are unable to see the world clearly. It's normally not their fault.

They're wrong, even from the religious viewpoint. Good or bad doesn't matter. Whether you are repentent or non-repentent is the deciding factor.

So if there is a God, simply say "Sorry, God, I'm an atheist", and you'll get into heaven.

Wrong on that one, that teacher was. If you are bad, and believe in God, you're going to Hell(tm). If you want the verse, I'll look it up, the gist of it is...JC wants folks to eoither be Hot or Cold..Either belive and live accordingly, or don't believe...The fence sitters, that think they can "believe" and still be SOB's are going to fry with the unbelievers...

In other words

COMMIT people.

Well, you can scientifically proof God.
Therez a protoplasm theory which is extemely long and uses complicated terms in short it says that in the universe a protoplasm which is the most basic substance on earth could not be created without any interference the probability it being created is 1 in 10 raised to the power 800 anything raised to the power 50 or above is considered impossible. Its statistics which applies to all fields of science.
obviously its upto you to belive it or not.

Red, if you had two children but one disobeyed you more then he obeyed would they stop being your child?

Salvation is more then knowing the facts of the Bible. Many think that "believe" means this, to know the facts. That is knowing "about" GOD but it sure is not knowing GOD. This will explain the difference:

http://www.shatterdmen.com/first_step.htm

Now going back to a child that disobeys you. If they do disobey, would you not correct them? Perhaps punish them? This is what God does to HIS kids when they disobey. They will not have their prayers answered, and they will be chastened.

If someone truly believes in GOD, they will want to do the things that please HIM. If they do not, I would question if they really are God's kid.

Christians believe that all sins are forgiven when they trust Jesus for their Salvation. You didn't know this? Most 1st graders know this. I'm always amazed by the ignorance of Atheists. Thought all of you were smart. YA has changed my mind about that. The majority of Atheists (on this site anyway) make Christians look like Einsteins.
