I'm not going for popularity on this one so thumbs down all you like Christians. I'm being straightforward and honest as to how you are being seen. I'll list not only what it is, but why you are seen this way.

Most Atheists have been confronted with Christianity in their life one way or another. There are many Atheists who came from a religious background and saw through the manipulation process that the churches go through.

1.Religiously Dogmatic - Christians spout passages like it's going to mean something to an Atheist. We're not looking for answers as to what the book says. It's not going to convert us or change our pespective. When you find yourself cut and pasting onto message boards. You're wasting your time.

2. Fearful - Primary motivation of most Christians that I have spoken to as to why I should believe is due to the consequenses of me not believing. HELL HELL HELL! What they fail to understand is that belief isn't a choice.

More coming.

History shows that the catholics have murdered, lied, cheated and maimed their way to the worlds largest fortune. If that fortune was redistributed, the worlds poorest and neediest people could have a chance at survival. What purpose does that massive wealth serve, other than to remind the poor and dying that god doesnt love them?
I believe that, if the church was to be tried by a jury, they could be charged and convicted of;
Obtaining goods by deception.
Demanding money with menaces.
Murder in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree. (En mass)
Torture
Child molestation.
Incitement to riot, kill and abuse and a whole lot more.

As an aetheist it offends me that a crime syndicate like the catholics are allowed to continue. The head man is a nazi and his henchmen are dispicabal perverts with no more love for their fellow man than the ss of world war 2.

We wiped out the nazis and we have been fighting the mafia for years. When do we put a stop to the catholic world menace?

Havent these foolish people read the bible? no where in the bible does it state that mary was a woman of ill repute. it only says that she was a very beautiful woman. she not only became the best friend of jesus, she was the first person to have seen jesus and spoken to him after he rose from the dead.
why do some christian chruches brand this great woman as a whore? is it because they want to keep women from becoming ministers of jesus, or are these people under the impression that all beautiful women are of ill repute?

(i ask this question as i am a proud christian woman)

I know that a xylon is dead wood from a tree, like a piece of wood. But I was told that a xylon can also be a tree that's lviing. Does anyone know if that's true? And if so, are there any Scriptures that say so?

Please, no arguments about whether Jesus died on a stake or a cross. I just want to know if a living tree in the Bible is ever called a xylon.

He had 16008 wives, He flirted with all those Gopies in Vrindavan including the matured wives of others, He was the Heartthrob of all women of that time ... probably because of that a lot of those people who did not understand His Divinity were jealous of Him. Any thoughts conflicting or confirming these lines? Lord Krishna's story probably you can read from the following link on Bhagavatham

I'm gonna answer my own question here.

I often hear Christians say that we should respect their religion and refrain from questioning it or mocking it.

Well, I say no. Christianity has been responsible for terrible atrocities throughout history. It set science back hundreds of years (by harrassing people like Galileo and Copernicus). And they're still up to their tricks today. Just look at the televangelists taking advantage of the poor. Christians are still getting in the way of progress today. It took them hundreds of years to accept that the Earth rotates round the sun. Now they refuse to believe in evolution and try to block research in stem cells, which may revolutionalise medicine. And worst of all, they cause people to have false hope. What's more, the religion emphasises weakness and subservience (turn the other cheek) rather than dignity and personal strength.

So I see no reason to respect Christianity, no.

And Christians, rather than give insults, show I'm wrong.

I started to go to church again about 3 years ago, and I have changed so much. My attitude has changed, and my mom doesn't believe it has, but it really has. And I don't wear pants anymore I wear long skirts, I am Pentecostal and Proud. But my mom is trying to get me out of church and we argue sometimes about and it often leaves me hurt and I cry a lot, and the rest of my family is almost the same way. It hurts, I am the only one trying to do something good for me and all I am getting is hurt by my family. I try to get my mom to go to church but she won't have any of it. I sing a lot at church too and she won't even come to see me sing. What should I do?

that The Bible says that man is meant to rule over women and he is to be her master?

Why do Christian men and women feel the urge to ignore this part? Isn't it supposed to be the word of their alleged god? Why do christians pick and choose what in that stupid, little book to believe?

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realise what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is God's way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do. 2 Timothy chapter 3 verses 16 - 17

I've argued this time and time again with many different groups Atheist, Christian, Etc... and there are many who eventually do agree.

There is one single truth in the universe. Regardless of whether the Atheists are right, the Christians are right, or (God forbid) the Scientologists are right. There is one answer. Everything else is a perception of that answer.

I know this sounds really simple, but for some reason when I declare to people that there is a single answer I keep getting the reply "from you're perspective". I agree, I do have a perspective and there are many others that has their ideas of the way they think things are, BUT it still remains that whether we agree or not on what it may be, that there IS just one "Truth" to the universe.

I'll add detail as people respond and please update your perspectives with "edit".

(For Clarification)
by saying Truth I'm refering to the big picture (ie. Why we're here. What created the universe.)
