that The Bible says that man is meant to rule over women and he is to be her master?
Why do Christian men and women feel the urge to ignore this part? Isn't it supposed to be the word of their alleged god? Why do christians pick and choose what in that stupid, little book to believe?

The God of the Bible decrees that woman must submit to the dominance of man.
"The social and legal position of an Israelite wife was inferior to the position a wife occupied in the great countries round about... all the texts show that Israelites wanted mainly sons to perpetuate the family line and fortune, and to preserve the ancestral inheritance... A husband could divorce his wife; women on the other hand could not ask for divorce... the wife called her husband Ba'al or master; she also called him adon or lord; she addressed him, in fact, as a slave addressed his master or subject, his king. The Decalogue includes a man's wife among his possessions... all her life she remains a minor. The wife does not inherit from her husband, nor daughters from their father, except when there is no male heir. A vow made by a girl or married woman needs, to be valid, the consent of the father or husband and if this consent is withheld, the vow is null and void. A man had a right to sell his daughter. Women were excluded from the succession."

There has always been debate as to how to apply the principles of the Bible. The result of this process can be seen in the many denominations of Christianity that exist on this planet. Some denominations are more fundamentalist and follow the bible more literally, although, I haven't heard about too many stonings lately, so even they don't follow it completely. Other denominations are more liberal and use the bible as spiritual inspiration and the gospels as ways to illustrate religious values. As with all sets of human values, we often fall short, but that doesn't mean we should stop trying or throw out the good with the bad.

The Bible does not say this; you're confused. Husbands are to submit to wives and wives to their own husbands (Eph. 5:21).
Also, many men (such as yourself) ignore this one fact: through one MAN sin and death entered the world. This is the reason why husbands answer directly to God. If Adam had stepped forward and councilled Eve to not eat the fruit, we wouldn't be where we are today. This is the reason why God gave husbands the HUGE responsibility of ensuring their families are cared for.
Do some more thinking on this subject, so you can understand God didn't require this order because women are less than men.

I am sure that you do not want an actual answer to this question, but it also says that men and women should RULE OVER EACH OTHER. You are the one picking out certian things. You can't just take certian things and try to disprove the bible or call christians out with it. You are not a believer so you will never understand. It also says in the bible THEIR HEARTS WILL BE HARDENED AND THEY WILL BE BLINDED.

First the bible is not stupid little book. Second people interpret the bible differently. Third do you know the part in the bible were it says husbands summit to their wives and wives summit to their husbands. That saying that you men and women are equal. Also you are taking that verse out of context because that is not what it means. Grow up.

Yes, it does say women are supposed to submit to their husbands.
This doesn't mean women can't get equal pay in the workplace. This doesn't mean women can't go out and get a job. This doesn't give men the right to harass us or beat us.
Husbands are also supposed to hold up their end of the bargain by loving women and cherishing them.
When I get married, I fully intend to follow the Bible. I've seen many happy marriages that work this way.

The Bible says that women are to respect their husbands and submit to them (out of respect.)
It also says men are to love their wives as Christ loved the church and was willing to die for her. Christ didn't Lord over anybody. Instead He was humble and even to the point of being a servant to others (out of love, not position) (John 13:1-17)
So yes, men do hold a position of authority that is to be honored and respected. But at the same time they are not to use it to "Lord" over anybody. They are to love. (and humbly serve God and all others) (Gal 5:22-33)

Things have changed since the Biblical days. Why are you so worried about it when you call it a "stupid, little book"?
The Bible also has sacrifices of lambs. That is not something I do! I bet YOU don't either!

The man is supposed to be the head and love his wife as Christ loves the church, the wife is to be subject to her husband and respect him. When both do their part, this is not so hard, but when a man thinks he is to be the MASTER of his wife and rule without love and consideration, he may not have a wife very long.

nowadays, from what ive seen, women rule over men. everything a man does is wrong. if hes late from work, she assumes hes cheating, or if he says something out of the ordinary, its wrong. but thats the way it is. christians, or any religious person, is technically a hypocrit, they go around to spread the word, even though they all disobey it.
