If you don't believe in God, then you won't see the point in this question. But if you do and you have thought the same thing, then you simply do not understand our beliefs. Christians believe in God, Jesus, Heaven and Hell, regardless of what others may belive. It seems hard for non-believers to understand our teachings, because they simply don't believe. If I don't believe in Aliens, then it really doesn't matter what you try to show me as far as proof or studies go, I don't believe so it makes no sense to me. That is how it seems to be with non-believers. But to answer the question at hand:God doesn't send anyone to Hell, they send themselves. He gives us the choice.
A: Believe in him, believe that his son Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins, accept Jesus into you heart, try to live by the word of God, ask forgiveness for your sins, and when you leave your earthly body, you go to Heaven.
B: Reject all this, you go to Hell. By rejecting, a person chose their own fate.
