If you don't believe in God, then you won't see the point in this question. But if you do and you have thought the same thing, then you simply do not understand our beliefs. Christians believe in God, Jesus, Heaven and Hell, regardless of what others may belive. It seems hard for non-believers to understand our teachings, because they simply don't believe. If I don't believe in Aliens, then it really doesn't matter what you try to show me as far as proof or studies go, I don't believe so it makes no sense to me. That is how it seems to be with non-believers. But to answer the question at hand:God doesn't send anyone to Hell, they send themselves. He gives us the choice.
A: Believe in him, believe that his son Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins, accept Jesus into you heart, try to live by the word of God, ask forgiveness for your sins, and when you leave your earthly body, you go to Heaven.
B: Reject all this, you go to Hell. By rejecting, a person chose their own fate.

It just seems like the ones who ask this, are usually the people who have chosen not to study what it is exactly that Christians believe. I am not saying this to convince anyone who is a non-believer to believe the way Christians do, though I hope one day you do, but un-true assumptions are being made about our Christian religion, so this is a brief summary to dispute one of the untruths about God.

This is for J T: Your answers do nothing but prove how little that you know about the Christian religion. In your answer to my question, you make referrence to Heaven being filled with sinners. Do you think that Hell isn't? So what if a rapist or murder goes to Heaven! If they go to Heaven, obviously they asked forgiveness for their sins and asked Jesus to come into their heart and save them. In that case, God took their sins and threw them as far as the east is from the west. That means they are gone, forgiven, forgotten. Of course Heaven is filled with sinners, considering that Jesus is the only person to ever live on earth that wasn't a sinner, what did you think it was full of? Purple bunnies?

God doesn't exist, but we'll play God exists to answer this question.
The funny thing is that hell is the better place to be because heaven will be filled with sinners. Who wants to spend an eternity with a gang of murderers, rapists, child molesters, liars, thieves, charlatans, and all manner of miscreants?
That Bible God is a real tricky fellow. Or, have you never actually read the bible?
Response:
Touch a raw nerve, did I? Amazing how that usually happens when people hear an unwanted truth. So what if they are "forgiven," how does that alter the fact you'll be spending an eternity with Adolf Hitler?
And, I have a few years experience as a Christian. You can read about it here:

The problem with that question is that it assumes that someone can lead a "good life". Not one person that I know has led a life without falling short of good. Have you ever lied? Ever steal any thing? Ever cheat on a test in school. Ever not did the best you could at a job you had. Most people would admit that all these things are short of being good. We tend to view are selves as "not as bad as that person" or " at least we never killed any one. Or what ever. Once a person admits that they fall short then and only then can we come to a true repentant state. We judge on a curve God just views us as guilty or innocent. We are all guilty and fall short. The real question is what can be done about it.

I'm not saying I don't believe in God I don't believe in the current form of Christianity. I believe in my own God, and anyway I choose to should be OK. I believe in heaven, and believe that there is a hell. But I don't think that just because someone who doesn't believe in whatever God you believe in , should go to Hell. I think if your a good person and do what your supposed to, then you might have a shot. Most cultures have their own belief systems, so does that mean that
Buddhist priest's are going to Hell because they aren't what you would call a Christian?

I think the idea that God only lets people into heaven who believe in Jesus is evil.
So, I believe in God, heaven, and hell but because I view Jesus as a prophet and not the son of God means I'm going to burn in hell? Yea, I don't believe that. I don't think God is that picky or that unloving to just let people like that burn in hell.
You're basically saying all Jews will burn in hell, and add on all the other religions who believe in God but not Jesus. Yea I can see that now, God commanding us all to hell for not believing the same trivial details.

It's all part of the free will God gave you in the beginning. Like you said if you believe Jesus died for your sins and you have truly asked forgiveness for your sins then you will be allowed into Heaven. If you choose to deny God and Jesus then that is the choice you made and you will undoubtedly spend time in a considerable less desirable spot for eternity.

It's the secular humanistic teaching that abounds that has brainwashed people into thinking that right and wrong is relative and the concept of judgement and ethics being passe. God is loving and he is also Just. He demands perfection which we are unable to meet on our own and so he has given us a way to be redeemed through Jesus. Our imperfections are buried only through the blood of Jesus. People can accept that or reject that. It is our duty to keep on sharing the good news.

And muslims feel the same way. Do you really think that people of other cultures would embrace this idea of Christianity just because the idea exists? They have their own religions and ideas. Maybe you are wrong and they are right. The only thing seperating you're beliefs from theirs is the fact that you really really want your religion to be the right one. Maybe, and this might be really hard for you to grasp, THERE IS NO GOD!! Show him to me. EVIDENCE? These rules that you have embraced for yourself are the construct of a corrupt and engineered church. I know its hard to question your own religion especially without knowing the history of the Christian church. Council of Nicaea and Trent. Educate yourself. The bible was edited and bastardized many times as were the tenets of Christianity themselves. That learnin' is really dangerous.

"If I don't believe in Aliens, then it really doesn't matter what you try to show me as far as proof or studies go, I don't believe so it makes no sense to me. "
i find this quite amazing that even when presented with proof you still wouldn't accept it
i am not a christian but even the proof i have been given up until now has led me to believe that Jesus did exist ... if i am presented with evidence .. of course i will accept it
i cannot accept that unless i believe he is my saviour i will go to hell ... why ... because i find no evidence of that

I believe you need to go to the middle east and get on a pulpit and preach this dogma.
Reject all this, you go to Hell. By rejecting, a person chose their own fate.

"Hell" is separation from God. God stands for love, mercy, justice, kindess, compassion etc. Being separated from all of that is what Hell is. It is a choice. If you choose evil you choose to be separated from God. It is free will. Not something forced on you by God.
