Speaking from experience, it is very rare that you will find a family that has gone through life with no experience of diseases. It is hard, but with family and friends we pull through.

Most people avoid the depressing. I am sorry your child has this problem Jim. The human body has the ability to heal itself. The only faith you and your baby need is the faith or hope that all will turn out well for both of you. A positive mind frame will work a miracle. And a remission.

we can ask for beer and then recieve and be filled with it's spirit

and then feel free to talk to god

no one want to ask for disease and be filled

even Jesus supposedly turned water into wine

I've see people these days water vineyards, pick the grapes and harvest the fermented sugar water from grapes that become wine when stored for a certain period

it's not as fast but people do it today

Because most people are uncomfortable , and don't know how to act, or what to say when it comes to illness. I had a friend die recently of MS. His family stopped coming to visit as the diseaese progressed. I was shocked when his Aunt said : "I just don't want to see him like this"..
I am a Christian, but my response to her that day was not in love..I completely went off!!

I think it's harder to rationalize why someone who is supposedly divine and the son of deity that is omnipotent would let a child of three suffer. So I think a lot of people opt out for the easier question because it is more comfortable.
