Why are people so surprised by the attacks from muslims??

Im not saying that it is right what theyre doing. But the fact of how their muslim countries are being attacked and invaded. Many innocent civilians have been dying, and the numbers are just increasing like crazy now!! Aren't they being provoked? If it were your brothers and sisters, would you not stand up fight against it all? What if whenever you tried speeching yourself, no one would listen or they would accuse you of being an extremist? How would you feel? I think many muslims around the world are just being provoked by what everyone else is doing to Islam! The amount of negativity muslims do in the world are nothing compared to all the other countries!! Look at Iraq at the moment!! Look at what's going on in there!! The amount that died during 9/11 is no way compared to this!! Its too horrid!!

Why won't muslims stand up and fight against all this going on against Islam?? Do you think all muslims will sit down quietly whilst innocent die in Iraq and Afganistan?? open ure eyes!

id have to agree with you on this, no one wakes up in the morning and says, hey let kill a bunch of people in the U.S.A. because they are infidels, i think because of POLITICS, OIL, AND MONEY, our country is over there doing things that americans don't know about, and a s a consequense those people are dying, had enough and started doing something about it, crashing planes suicide bombing is and act of desperation, we should had left them alone let them do theyre thing and let them live theyre lives, if they want to kill eachother because of relgion im cool with that just keep the crap over there,

You see, Muslims all around the world are very confused and unsure because rather following what really comes from the Quran and Hadiths, they just follow their own action and will. OK, here is one example, Al Qaeda. If these fellow beings were actual Muslims there would of never been 9/11 or the London and Madrid Bombings. The extremists are the problem, not mainstream. Anyway, those Muslims who protested against the Popes and Cartoons are only a small percent of them. If it were ALL and I mean the billion who are Muslim were against this there would of been a big problem. I can tell you this that those people who have been protesting the remarks from the Pope were maybe around 100 or 2 the most and what is really bad is that CNN claims false charges saying that Muslims around the world are going coocoo for cocoa puffs.

So, it is not only the Americans/Western fault but the Muslims as well. These rich Arab leaders which some follow a strict form of Islam, Wahhabism which has no connection to any sect or practice of Islam 1400 years ago rather helping those Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan but shove it up their butthole and give that money to the wrong people. Those are what I call terrorists. Muslims are humans just like me and you. They shouldn't be called terrorists when:

1. only a small percent do
2. when it has no connection what so ever about Islam except some verses which was revealed 1400 YEARS AGO as a lesson for those people who were doing bad actions toward the Muslims but sadly use it as a way to kill the infidel (I am not saying anyone or you an infidel) by ACTION
3. When both the Muslim World and Western World are not innocent anyway how.
4. When Rich and Greedy Muslims like King Saud, Hosni Mubarak and Islam Karimov come to power and rather help and be kind to others and follow Islam, but rather kill and end up murdering and making Muslims refugees around the world.

You see, I am Muslim, an American Muslim and I find that if Muslim and Western Leaders co-op and find a solution to these problems and find justice through Islams, Christianitys and Judaic teachings, there would be no holy war, no killing under religion, etc.

I love every religion, every people and that the reason why is because I am a Muslim and Islam teaches me to love everyone regardless if one is good or bad.

Its the hypocrisy of muslims that people can't stand. They only care about their poor muslim brothers and sisters when non-muslims are involved, if its musilm on muslim they look the other way stick their fingers in their ears and say nothing. Show me one example of a muslim protest condemning the sunnis and shias for killing each other on a daily basis in iraq, not a whisper. When saddam hussein was in charge of iraq, muslims refused to believe anything bad was even happening in iraq, they thought it was all propoganda by the west (hmm paranoid conspiracy theory, where have i heard that before). As someone else pointed out in their answer, wherever muslims come into contact with other cultures theres conflict, is it really everyone else in the world who's wrong or could it possibly be islam. Stop fighting with the u.s., the west, russia, asia, india (have i missed anyone?) and maybe muslims will stop dying.

Well, you've got a point and I think it's a point that most Americans don't want to face up to or admit. Muslims have a pretty rough time.

But there is another side to the coin. Why is it that wherever Islam meets another culture, there is violence? Just look at Sudan (Muslims vs Christians), Palestine (vs Jews), Chechnia (vs Christians, athiests), India (vs Hindus), China (vs Buddhists, atheists), Philippines (vs Christians), Thailand (vs Buddhists) and the list really does go on and on. You have to admit that
1. Islam has issues interacting with other cultures
2. Islam has issues adapting to the modern world

I guess many Muslims would be offended by my suggestions here, which is partially the point.

Are you talking about War ?? But who cause the war !!!!, If Islam keep threaten other religion, attack, killing in other country that is cause the war. Other religion don't hate Islam, because other religion hate Violent !!!, In other religion we cannot kill, burn, rape just because you attack our religion. NO OTHER RELIGION WILL AGREE WITH THAT, But Islam DO, So Islam need to stop hating other religion, Which you cannot because base on your Al Quran. If you say extremist, terrorist are not from Islam, So what are they come from. Did they go to the special Mosque to be Terrorist or Extremist, The answer is NO. They go to the same mosque, they faith are base on Al Quran. I grow up in Indonesia, my house are close to mosque, I already hear a lot of hate speech again other religion. I got to many muslim friend, because I am from muslim country.

So dont blame on the War, but who start the war, who is attack who ???. So you think if extremist and terrorist attack our country we cannot attack it back. What are you talking about ?????????

What attacks by muslims? Do you mean 9/11? That happened before the war in Afganistan and Iraq. Do you mean the attacks going on now in Iraq? That is mostly muslims killing other muslims. The increasing numbers of innocent civilians "increasing like crazy" is almost all muslims killing muslims. So "crazy" is the operative term, yes.

inistead of all this, why dont muslims tackle the fanatics and extremism, in this way there will be peace, it doesnt matter about the number of people killed here or there, it matters that there have been "innocent" people killed, the sooner the muslim nations tackle the extremism and hang these fanatics the sooner the world would be at peace, it always the "middle east" thats in deep s**t all the time!

any attack should suprise people because it involves people of different race ethics age gender and culture,

forget about how many muslims are dying and switch to how many people are dying of hunger dieses and so on these are things that are natural and cant be prevented intirely but if you are talking of how many muslims are dying and when they attack we shouldnt be suprised i think the cause of it is man-caused and there is nothing to feel sorry about but its something to be solved and not to happen again. if you have to feel sorry for everything thats happening with the muslim world youll soon go crazy its about all the human race intire human race that should be a concern.

I'm very suprised there aren't more attacks against the Muslims themselves.

I think it's just a matter of time before we see some major back lash against them, maybe bombings of Mosques in this country.

They seem to be doing nothing themselves to stop the extremists and are getting everyones backs up.

I think Muslims should show more tolerance, remember Dave Allen the comedian, he used to make fun weekly of the Roman Catholics - you didn't see them protesting every five minutes. Are Muslims so unsure of their religion that they must see every comment as a criticism of their religion?

Maybe it might be better if we just abolished religion altogether, it seems to cause so much trouble in the world and has done so throughout time.
