That is the mystery of the Trinity

the Word of God became flesh and we call Him Jesus. Therefore, Jesus is God in human flesh. He is not half God and half man. He is fully divine and fully man. That is, Jesus has two distinct natures: divine and human.

As the SCripture says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...14and the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us..." (John 1:1,14). This means that in the divine word became flesh in the single person of Jesus who is, then, both human and divine in nature. The divine nature was not changed. It was not altered in this union. Rather, the divine holy nature of the Word remains as it is.

Furthermore, Jesus is not merely a man who "had God within Him" nor is he a man who "manifested the God principle." He is the second person of the Trinity. "The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word," (Heb. 1:3, NIV). Jesus' two natures are not "mixed together," nor are they combined into a new God-man nature. They are separate yet act as a unit in the one person of Jesus. This is called the Hypostatic Union.

Also, in the incarnation, Jesus was made for a while lower than the angels (Heb. 2:9) and under the law (Gal. 4:4). This means that Jesus cooperated with the limitations of being a man (Phil. 2:5-8). In other words, He really was a man and as a man exhibited the proper restrictions of His humanity such as growing taller, eating, growing in wisdom, etc., which would be expected of a real human being.

There's only 1 God, even though i don't follow any religion i've read the bible at the age of 5-7. Jesus is the son of God not the God himself. That explains it, but probably i'm not right and if i'm not, then ur answer remains a mystery.

I am no religious expert but I doknow what I have been taught and what I believe. God is one that is made of three beings (Jesus- the son of God and the human version of God, the father- the protector and leader, and the holispirit- the spirit and power of God). That is what the trinity means. God is one made of many different components, the three named above are the three main things. Plus, God is everything and anything no matter what humans say b/c he can be and he can be because he is God! Humans can't really grasp the true nature of all the things God is; it would kill us.

I'm sure you will get all sorts of answers on this one as some believe in the Trinity and some do not. I do believe in the Trinity. There is one God who manifests as God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Jesus is the Son of God. Some even call Him our Lord.

it is called the trinity. The trinity is God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit, they are all one. That is something taht is really hard to comprehend, i am not sure anyone can fully understand it. it is similar to water because water can be a liquid, solid, or vapor, but it is still one...does taht make sense?

The Father and the Son are separate entities. Numerous Bible passages confirm this distinction. See, for example, http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%205:19-23;&version=31; If you want to read more checkout the free booklet "Who Is God?" at http://www.gnmagazine.org/booklets/WG/

The Bible says in Deuteronomy "Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is one God.
If you go back to the Hebrew text, it would say "Hear O Israel, the Lord (singular) or Gods (plural) is one God (singular).

The apostle Paul did not understand everything, how can we.
