It says clearly in the Bible that God made man, and yet you still go on about evolution, why?

Well, of course Atheists don't believe in the absolute authority of the Bible. Really, I'm amazed at this question. It is so startlingly naive.

However, I will also point out--as a Christian--that the Bible gives precious few details about Creation and I for one don't see any contradiction between Evolution and Faith.

Why is it so hard for Fundamentalists to understand? Evolution was part of how God shaped life, and yet you still go on about "Creationism." Why? Haven't you even looked at the evidence? Really looked--as in, not the bits and pieces distorted by Creationists but the actual hard data?

Paw, you just don't get the idea. You seem to think that if something is in a book, that should be good enough.
How about Origin of Species, it doesn't say that God created man.
You asked why is it so hard for atheists to understand ? We wonder why religious people believe everything written by people who lived in a time when every movement was controlled by signs and omens. The bible is just a collection of writings by various people over a couple hundred years of time.
Because something was written long ago does not mean that it should not be questioned. Yep, I know it was inspired by God, just like all the other "holy" books that contradict each other.
Doesn't it make sense that if all the holy books are from God, they would all be identical ? And who is ignorant enough to say, " What I believe is correct, If you believe something else, you're wrong ".
So why do we believe in evolution ? Because it's far more logical than the hokus-pokus dominokus belief of the creationists.

I've read the creation part in genesis (not the rock band) but it didn't convince me. I'm really sorry. Why don't you try reading some serious stuff about evolution and the universe. It will not take the illusion of a god away, and I'm not even looking for that to accomplish, but it might be wise to know a little bit more behind the principles of these sciences and science itself, to understand what there is we can rationally understand.

First of all if you visit this site it will explain why the bible a bad source for answering unanswerable questions.

http://whydoesgodhateamputees.com/

The most logical explanation that they go on about it is that Although as clearly states in the bible 'god made man' they believe that man made god and the bible so really they believe man made an explanation for their existance by saying the god they made, made man.

Now science points otherwise and man is drawing new conclusions. ;)

Let's just say I'm completely neutral on the matter. Maybe I had amnesia and i don't even remember if I'm a Christian an atheist or something else.

If I go to the library and pluck a book off the shelf and it makes outrageous claims, then I'm gonna want proof.

If the book I happen to pluck is the bible and it tells stories like Noah's Ark, then I'm gonna say 'Wait a minute here... you really want me to believe that?'

We atheists like to think rationally and scientifically. Please humor us on that. For us, 'why' is an important question, too. Why are we here? No atheist can answer that question, we just have to say 'I don't know'. That's our point of view and I believe in rationalism and logic every bit as passionately as you believe in your bible.

What would u say if i ask u to leave ur religion or critisize u and ur religion? it would feel really bad and u will teach me a lesson won't u? well, it's as simple as that if u can't believe that Jesus isn't the son of God and there isn't a God then v can't believe God or Jesus either. And for ur info Bible isn't the ony book which says that God exists. There's this book called 'Koran' or 'Quran', watever way u spell it, it says that God exists and there are other set of rules for muslims in it. I don't belive that either. If there was God then y didn't he grant our wish or wishes?

It says clearly in Darwin's works that evolution happened, and yet you still go on about the Bible, why?

(See how far that statement gets you? I can turn it right back around on ya.)

Well technically there was a strange find of a fish that went under no evolution whatsoever
that fish had disappeared for about 1.2 million years and was found not so long ago, they had compared the bone structure of a fossil fish and the bones of the new fish to find that is exactly the same, some scientist believe that this could alter the theory of evolution and prove that God does exist.

You are asking for it on this one.
Someone is going to get all mad and yell at you now.

Both sides have valid points. Are we the same as we used to be, I think not. Evolution makes sense in this way.

But from the other side...there's a law in science that says that nothing can be created or destroyed. If you are really into science, and you believe this, how do you explain where everything came from in the first place? That is where creation makes sense.
