Neither--either sexless or, what I would like even better, a duality aspect of both male and female. Balance is important.

Well, you can't choose - and 'He' really has no gender (or both). Most people have grown up with the idea that it is a 'He' and if it works for them, that's fine. A few think of 'Her' as a she, and that is fine, too, so long as people don't argue about it!

It doesn't really matter how one thinks of God, so long as one does and so long as one remembers that everyone's view is different because nobody can possibly comprehend the whole truth, therefore we can only imagine a part of it - and that part is different for everyone. In a sense, it is true to say that we 'create' God ... meaning that 'we form an idea' of God which is just a picture, really (as we do of every person we know).

God is anything but male or female. but if you look at it in a symbolic way women are the symbol of the beloved and men are the symbol of the lover. so symbolically i pick female.

God is all. There is no need to choose--in doing so, it just is a measure of our bias in personal preference.
