I know that a xylon is dead wood from a tree, like a piece of wood. But I was told that a xylon can also be a tree that's lviing. Does anyone know if that's true? And if so, are there any Scriptures that say so?

Please, no arguments about whether Jesus died on a stake or a cross. I just want to know if a living tree in the Bible is ever called a xylon.

Yes. Revelation 22 uses 'xylon' speaking about trees that were living and producing fruitage. In this case, the context is clear that xylon is speaking of living trees, but sometimes the context doesn't give you a clue, such as Acts 10:39, in which case it might be living, or not.

hummm human fingernails and hair are not living tissue. The wood inside the tree is similar material, also not living tissue. Either will begin to degrade if the living thing it is connected to dies.

While the Greek original word is neuter, ending in -on, the English word is normally spelled xylAN. I take it you are also a student of Greek?
