Why are the church up in arms about the introduction of a jab that will save around 1,100 women's lives every year? The argument is that it will encourage more under-age sex; this is a ridiculous argument, that's like judging someone as guilty before they've even committed a crime.

I'am taking a class in western culture (egypt , their culture,things they believe in, we're talking about many many many years ago) and they talk about their religion and their gods and some stuff is crazy... its sound crazy on what they did or use to pray to... for example the sun... different people they concider gods, pyramids... and invisable things or people........... if all that sound crazy to pray or believe in all those thing to you(believers)...what doesnt make your beliefs crazy???

when God cast out adam and eve from eden, why did God put an angel to guart the fruit of eternity? as if human can go back in without noticed and steal it..... or the fruit of knowledge actually teach human how to re enter eden?

If you sinned and died before repenting, you would go to hell right?

It is said that everyone is born with the original sin – so since a child is born with sin, and dies suddenly, wouldn’t that mean that the child will be going to hell? There is no way a 4 month old baby can repent for a sin that it was born with so technically speaking; off to hell the baby goes.

Does it bother you that I sound harsh? I am only repeating what **Christians** have told me. Or does it just sound cruel that a new born baby is burning in hell for eternity because of original sin. She didn’t have a chance

And if God is the one who says who dies when, doesn’t that mean that God killed a baby before it had a chance to age and repent and therefore God sent that baby to hell? Nice God

I have not been raised in a Christian family, infact there was no religion. Now my husband is following new in his walk and wants me to have faith too. I beleive in God, but I can't seem to follow the doctrine of Christianity. I really wish I could feel touched by the "holy Spirit", but I can't. This is tearing us apart because I want to have this in common with my husband, but I have so many questions, and disagree with so many things. How can I start having faith?

I don't particularly care which side of the arguement you choose to take BUT if you are going to respond to a question PLEASE read and understand what you are replying to!

I recently got several rude answers to a question I asked. Hey, it's fine if you disagree with me - But these people came back with answers that had nothing to do with what I asked!!!

Do you actually think you are talking to a god (or The God, whatever), or do you feel it is more of a personal affirmation of your hopes and desires? Like, "I really really hope so-and-so doesn't die from that car accident...Please God save him/her!" Are prayers like this for the injured/needy or are they for your own piece of mind, to make YOU feel better since you cant actually do anything to help the situation?

Or like me, do you just think that praying is just wishing to yourself? Like "mmm I wish I had an ice cream cone right now!"

Why can't people open their mind, instead of being so rigid. If you want to believe that the world began 6000 years ago, then maybe your thinking about it all wrong. Who is to say 6000 years to an immortal being such as god isn't billions of years to humans like us. Or who is to say that 1 day to him isn't millions of years for us. Science and religion can coexist if you open your mind and stop being so rigid.

Can you open your mind and take gods word and make it work with science? I'm not saying either is right, but who is to say either is wrong.

is being a non believer in religion or GOD wrong or make you less of a person than believers??? i say that because a lot of the believer in yahoo Q & A... always tell non-believers " ohhh your wrong... blah. Blah blah..... ... and at the end they say GOD LOVES YOU or i'll PRAY FOR YOU" it sound like they are talking down to a non-believer, because they dont believe in what they believe. why is that???

Help me out if I am seeing this wrong here, Muslims Holy book is the Koran, and that is their guideline for living and following their religion, right? The Koran commands muslims to kill non-muslims and I still hear people whining that they are muslims and they dont want to be associated with killers. How can you claim to follow islam without following the koran? part of following the koran killing infidels, or atleast supporting that action.

Either you are a muslim and you support and follow the ideals of your religion(making you a killer) or your not, you cant have both.

This is a hypothetical, so please no copy and paste or scripture. I won't read it. This isn't gonna happen, so let's use our own words. Agreed??

If you were shown a vision of yours and your family's future, and you didn't like what you saw (really awful stuff, violent death, sickness, poverty, etc) would you take steps to try and change it???

Would you accept your fate as God's will, or would you feel that you had been shown this vision in order to change it??

God has not spoken to you to give you instructions. You have to play it on faith.

What would you do??

Most religious people believe God can never die - this makes God infinite. If God is infinite, then there would be an infinite number of possibilities for what God is. That said, does that make every religion right? One thing is for sure though, there is no one true religion, which makes its believers wrong. I wish religion wasn't so focused on converting people, this concept proves its fallacy.
