The early colonial cities of Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington D.C. were built along a specific Ley Line that lines up, if continued in a straight line encircling the earth, with Stonehenge. Why?

While J.P. is correct, in that most Ley Lines are said to be within the coordinates of less than 1 degree, the specific Ley Line along these five cities and connecting to the monument called Stonehenge, there is NO such diviation in their alignment connecting the old world to the new world. Meridian Hill located within Washington D.C. locates the exact measurement of the 77th Meridian. It is my understanding that this 77th meridian is supposed to be the most sacred of Ley Lines. Any one??

We are still lacking a direct connection with the 5 COLONIAL CITIES and STONEHENGE. What is the significance OF THIS PARTICULAR ALIGNMENT?

They (those that who were in power then/now) were of the Masonic order. A mason is some one who works in stone. As in carving, cutting, working with, etc.

i think of there is something to the belief of ley lines. A ley line runs interior the path of the county the place I stay, good alongside the sea coast and keeps to fulfill up with those that comprise the 'Bermuda Triangle' area. i've got self belief an potential in my area and it extremely is the reason i do no longer want to ever circulate away. After sorting out approximately ley lines i found out I extremely have lived on them my entire existence and am attracted to them... i think of the potential is conducive to psychic and metaphysical occurrences...

Ley Lines are thought to be Mystical Lines of Energy that encircle the Earth.
The movie Hellboy deals with them in a very limited role. The best explanation I have seen if based on the Fantasy RPG of Rifts by Palladium Books.
They are like rivers of mystic energy, their flow varies during certain times of the day, week, month and season. During special events, like The Summer Solstice, their flow of Energy is greatly enhanced.
I personally have never seen nor felt one. I just think they are cool!

They weren't built that way on purpose. They just ended up that way.
Ley lines are electrical paths in the earth. Supernatural entities can and do use them as highways. They are neutral, per se, but can be inhabited by either good or evil. And as such adopt that element into themselves.
For instance the house in Amityville is built on an odd convergence of Ley Lines.

Ley lines are sacred places according to the old religions,as they were thought to be magical places. Scientifically, some ley lines, or fissures in the earths crust emit magnetic fields that will cause a compass to spin wildly. As for them making a line to Stonehenge, that's news to me.

you know Magical Energy lines. the problem is this energy has been taken away from us by the visitors therefore magic is no more amongst the common man.
Ley Lines and Ley Line walkers .....age old stuff
Satellites are the girders that keep us from seeing and using this 100 foot tal walls of energy. Ley Line walkers use to be able to travel them with magical abilities however, The Truth behind them has been clouded by the visitors.

Accepting even a 25 mile deviation from a central defining line, these cities alone, not including stonehenge, do not form a Great Circle (that is, a circle around the earth with earth's center as that circle's center).
Further, leylines are generally viewed as following local and regional geography and geology, not global.
--------------------------
I made a major error in my previous assertion -- I used a mercator projection map (duh me). Replicating this by use of Google Earth, I find that the furthest deviation from the chord between DC & Stonehenge is 6 miles.

The only time I'd heard of them is in the books by Kim Harrison. I think they may be based on something real. I'll leave it up to someone who knows more to add to this.
