You are never less a person , believer or nonbeliever. Believers are not perfect, just foregiven. God loves you too. If He didn't He would not have given Jesus to us.
We are all worth a Son to God.

No it is not wrong to believe or not to believe. It is a personal choice. It is not right for people to judge others. I think that most people who are religious have an issue with someone questioning what they believe. Most people I think have more than likely been raised in their religion and really don't understand what they believe they just believe because they are suppose to. I am a Spiritual Teacher, and I don't care who believes in what if anything. That is a personal choice and decision among each individual... I do believe that God created each of us to be individuals, so therefore I do not understand how ONE religious organization can be right for everyone. Besides I also think and believe very strongly in the fact that the bible was written by men who wanted to control everyone with fear and that is why they created this Satan and Hell stuff.
So I always use God Bless to each and every question I answer. I am not talking down to anyone because I feel each of us are equal to the other. We just all have different talents, traits, likes, and dislikes. So I hope that no one ever thinks or feels like I am talking down to them.
Great question and take care.

Let me start off by saying I am Catholic. I never ever try to impose my religion on anyone. I personally like relgion because it's part of what helps me get through rough times. Other people have other ways to cope. I've say I'd pray for someone not religious before, but it was because her mother was sick. She was fine with that. I would never tell someone I'd pray that they found God or whatever...that just seems really wrong to me. I think religion is a very personal thing and the decision on what you believe in should be personal as well.

Believing the way you believe doesn't make you any less of a person than the next. Your beliefs are your own. If a person is telling you otherwise, you can either choose to engage in those types of discussions or not. However, if you do choose to debate, putting down the other person's belief only deepens the chasm between your ideas and theirs and is not productive.
I happen to believe very strongly in God and have my reasons but do not put down a person who has their reasons for not believing or tell them that they are wrong. I may feel that their conclusions are wrong, but it would be wrong of me to point that out, because after all, that is subjective anyway.
I find that Christians who tell others that they are going to hell and they have to repent are either insecure or misinformed. The characteristics of a true Christian are kindness, forgiveness, gentleness and love. If a person is not displaying these things, they may be the ones in need of repentance.
Cheers!

It has been said that religion is the opium of the masses. Meaning that religious can work in two ways, it can help you to deal with problems you may be going through, much like a crutch with a broken leg. It can also be an addictive substance that keeps you from ever seeing the world as it actually is. If anyone tells you that you are wrong because you don't believe in something then they are only pushing their point of view. Everyone is different and everything in the world applies to everyone differently.
I look at it like this, I try to do good things for others and I don't do bad things. If I have to spend my life in a building just because someone decided that place is more holy than another, I'm not inclined to believe them.

I personally don't think anyone should sit in judgment of others when it comes down to any religion. I have said this time and time again. If you don't feel or believe that a God exist, that's your right! If I do believe that a God exist, that's my right! We may be on opposite sides of religion, but it doesn't mean that I should disrespect you as a human being. And frankly, I can't understand why others have to try always pushing their faith on others. People should just go about their business and not even get on the topics of religion, politics or racism when they already know that the person or persons their speaking to are not on the same page.

A believer can sometime feel there more right than you which makes them like you say look down on someone that doesn't believe... A Follower of anything can be hard to get thru there fog of belief to change there thinking or to challenge there way of thinking... As if one is in a cult or works for a certain company you the worker may have strong feelings as to how the cults way or the companies way is right and others are wrong...

A person that does not believe in a higher power is putting themself as a God, and yes, that is very very wrong.
An old expression is "there are no non-believers in a fox hole."
When their life is on the line the first thing non-belivers do is call out for God.
If you are scared of terrorism, just don't be a non-believer come the Great Judgment Day!

For those who are Truly of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head... there are certain truths which are known to us to be The Truth... The fact that you do not know The Truth dose not make you a worse person than me... I do not know any thing more about you than what you post here... If youare posting something that I know to be wrong then I will... as politly as this media will permit...tell you that you are wrong... in no way may I try to "force" you to follow my beliefs... If you are, by the standards of your society, a "good person" then it would be wrong to make any aperance of "talking down" to you.
By the very teaching of my Faith you are free to persue your life as you see fit... within the bounds of society... break those bounds and I will take a position against you as will any other you may offend by your violation of societies rules... but I am forbidden by my Faith from imposing my faiths beliefes upon you.
God dose indeed love you... but you are free not to return that love if you so choose... fact...not talking down...
If you might have a question concerning the basics of The True Christian Faith, you may email me. All honest questions will be answered as honestly and as acuratly as I can...

I my self used to dare question the whole religion thing, I proudly labeled myself a truth seeker. I have since found that higher power.
I do believe that having a higher power or some spirituality is healthy. However discriminating against non believers is just as bad a racial or any other discrimination.
Those who considers themselves Christians and cast judgment upon you are not Christians.
It is Gods job to judge not man!!

Some people are genuinely expressing the idea they will pray for someone and hope the best for them. I do limit how often I say it for the reason of the feelings you've related. I wouldn't want anyone to feel like I'm talking down to them. I'm just someone who believes in God and has hope for people.
