If miracle exist, couldn't they be harmfull?
For instance, when a hundred people die in a plane crash and one survives, we claim that it's a miracle. How about the 100 dead? Whay isn't that a miracle too?

False religiion would meddles in war and politics. Says the the journal Asiaweek, power hungry leaders are cynically manipulating people's religious sentiments for their own needs. As a result the journal warns, "The world threatens to sink into madness."
a prominent religious leader inthe USA declared. "You've got to kill the terriorist before the killing stops." His solution, "Blow them all away in the name of the Lord." This seems a bit extreem to me what do you think about that?

I'm interested as my partner is having difficulty coming to terms with his fathers death, especially as no coins were used in the funeral rite, and he is harbouring a huge guilt from this, i'd really like to be able to support him in the grieving process, but i don't think he can start moving forward while believing his father is between worlds.......any help would be appreciated.

I was just having a discussion with a co-worker about Jesus and God. I have heard many times on here Jesus being referred to as God. She tells me that he was the son of God, not God himself. I think it may come down to different sects of the religion.

Please, no smart answers. I am not looking to down anyone's beliefs, just get information about the beliefs.

Does anyone one else get annoyed at Catholics saying that other religions are ok and that they "respect" them. Isn't the point of Catholicism is that God and Jesus etc. exist and NOTHING else!?? (I'm a Catholic).

Priests of every religion because of the obsession for their own religion, knowingly and unknowingly spread mistrust and hate towards other religions. They think that their almighty is supreme and others are fake so must be converted to their own religion or eliminated. they want to control people minds and pockets in the name of religion and God. And to create fear among the public that they and their religion is at stake is the easiest way to control them.

I copied this straight from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Online

Allāh - originally the moon god Nanna,

Nanna is a god in Mesopotamian mythology who is the god of the moon and the son of Enlil and Ninlil. His sacred city was Ur. The name Nanna is Sumerian for "illuminator." He was named Sin in Babylonia and Assyria and was also worshipped in Harran.

If a psychic was proved to be real?

Makes you wonder?

The new stories, the requests, the obligations, the loss of personal life to media. The hate from religious groups.
Logic and rational?

Don't think too deeply about this. Why do most non-believers expect Christians to be perfect? I'm a Christian and I've never claimed to be perfect. As a Christian I strive to be like Jesus. But, I'm not always at my best. Does that make me a hyprocrite? I try to be the best Christian I can be.

I'm sure that some will say they just don't believe or agree with specific theories such as evolution or big bang, however its seems to me that since the scienfic method is for the most part unbiased, that the objection is based on a fear that evolution will undermine religion.
Science is science and the same methods used in physics, chemistry, biology, and other sciences are used in support of the big bang and evolution.
