I think he changed his name from Eggs to Pope after the Hitler Youth changed their line-up and renamed themselves Musical Youth. Eggs Benedict was kicked out and went on to persue a solo career under the new name Pope Benedict. By an amazing coincidence, all these years later he's been made into an actual Pope. How's that for a self fulfilling prophecy.
