This is a hypothetical, so please no copy and paste or scripture. I won't read it. This isn't gonna happen, so let's use our own words. Agreed??
If you were shown a vision of yours and your family's future, and you didn't like what you saw (really awful stuff, violent death, sickness, poverty, etc) would you take steps to try and change it???
Would you accept your fate as God's will, or would you feel that you had been shown this vision in order to change it??
God has not spoken to you to give you instructions. You have to play it on faith.
What would you do??

I'd assume I was hallucinating and would contact a physician immediately. What? Seriously, I'm not joking, this is what I'd do.

Yes, try to change it. This because it could be a vision or warning. God makes the sun to shine on all; he gives visions to believers and unbelievers alike.
I pray that you are given wisdom to meet the situation.

I would take steps to change what I have seen. If I saw my friend get hit by a car, I'd make sure to do all I could to avoid that fate (including inviting myself over to his home to stay in). I believe that if I were to see a vision of something, it would indicate how things are as they stand...but that with my (or someone else's) intervention, the outcome can be changed. I saw the vision for a reason...I'd guess more as a heads up than as a gruesome movie to watch to bring me grief.

What is the source of the vision? If the vision came from Satan I would ignore it, because Satan is a liar. If it came from God I would ask God for his will with the vision. I would never want or ask for pain or suffering for anyone period. So if God granted me the ability to change such a harsh vision for myself and or others then I would do just that. I don't accept fate until I made my choice and my choice is to follow God's will for my life. Amen

Yes, definately try to change it. I have had a few visions of future events. But they were all very vague and I could do nothing to change what happened. I didn't even know they were anything more than a day-dream until after the fact. One of them was of the 9/11 terror attacks.

This is a pretty easy one... Yes, of course I would take steps to change it. I would assume that a vision of the future must come from some source outside of myself, and the only source I know of that gives prophetic visions to people is God, so I would exercise my fiath in Him that he was showing me the vision in order to give me the opportunity to change what might be.
I believe that predestination is a false concept. So "accepting your fate" really isn't very relevant to me. We all have free will and God expects us to use it for good.

Of course I would try to change it, I would feel blessed to know that God loves me enough to show me a bit of my future (things happen for a reason) so if I try and nothing happened (at least I tried) and I will accept my faith, Maybe he was letting me know before hand so that I can get ready so it dont hit me as hard as it would if I wouldnt have known. Easier said than done but yep, as far as I know thats the way I would do it.

I would accept my fate, as I do all things in life, as life wanting me to push myself to the limits of myself. Remember. we may not have been shown the vision in order to change the circumstances - rather to change ourselves. I always believe that we can change things even if the change is our own hearts and minds. When all is said and done, I would accept the things I couldn't alter with as much grace and dignity as possible.

The vision given would be one possible outcome of many depending on the decisions I or my family makes. If I knew specifically which choice or series of choices I made to create that outcome I would change them but if I didn't know then there wouldn't really be anything I could do about it.
I also see it kind of from a "Matrix" point of view.......bear with me for a sec.....
When Neo went to see the oracle for the first time and she told him to be careful around the vase and he says what vase and knocks it over. Then she poses the question that if she hadn't told him about the vase would he have still knocked it over.....

This actualy happens to some people. Being shown a vision of your family's future is God's action and It knows and hopes that you will try to change it if neccessary.

I would take what ever actions I could to change every thing I could. It should be very easy. Any change would come from me as head of my family my actions are the cause of events in the people in my family.
Every one in my family lives to help others and make others as comfortable as possible. I don't believe that any changes would do anything but bring about good.
Anyway if I did change the further no one would no about it but me.
