slaughtering countless women and children, in an attempt to destroy their "inferior culture" and force christianity on them? Does god approve of killing innocents because they're half way across the world with different beliefs?

Ok, so Jesus was Jewish, and Jews don't believe in Hell. So why do so many Christians constantly threaten mild mannered good hearted people like myself with a lake of fire?

Our preacher last week preached on the fact that America is a great place, but, is it too free. You can go out and do whatever you want. There are laws ,but , for the most part, you can do a lot as you please. We aren't aloud to put a nativity scene up at the court house, but people can curse like sailors, do drugs, get preg. as teens, be gay, goths, or what ever it be, but we can't pray in school??? I don't understand!!!! Why is it that they get more "rights" then we do?

I've heard this particular argument from all kinds of Christians, especially my grandmother who all say that Halloween is the Devil's birthday. Where did this superstition come from?

The importance of the Scriptures to mankind makes reason and logic of the utmost importance in accepting the Message of the One God.

Blind acceptance of Scripture is prohibited in genuine Scripture.

Corruption in Scripture will always be recognised when a proper examination is done.

If the Creator of all is responsible for what is written, then the corruption of Scripture will be left with sufficient evidence by those who corrupt in order to expose the corruption within its words.

The one who thinks he is wise and believes his own version or interpretation of Scriptures and is afraid to be questioned or afraid to examine what is before his eyes, deceives only himself, for if you know, then you you will be able to face all opposition without fear of being exposed as a fraud.

Without condemning anyone for his belief, we should be able to reason what we have before us, and if Truth is One, there is only one conclusion at the end of the day.

if there is a house on fire and the father knows the children are inside and he calls them out but they do not come. Yet, if he says "Children, i have candy for you, but you must come outside to get it" and they come running... would you consider the father lying because he wanted to save his children's lives?

I read Part One, 'Searching for the Messiah', when it came out last year, and it was terrific...not at all what I expected, since the author is a woman! It was gutsy and real...only it left me hanging.
Part Two, 'Finding Salvation' is supposed to be out soon...I can't wait!
If you haven't read it, it's available at Amazon or BooksAMillion online...

My husband is a youth minister at a church where the pastor has verbally abused both my husband and myself and also has tried to destroy our ministry. Things calmed down while I was pregnant, but are slowly starting to regress again. This man is good at "campaigning" for himself, and has the entire deacon board in his pocket, so we are not sure telling would do any good. I could tell many stories about how this man has hurt us, and probably has done some major damage to my husband's career.

We can forgive him, but before we leave (which is soon!), should we tell the church what the pastor has been doing so the next minister does not get the same treatment? Or should we leave it alone for the sake of unity (it would probably do some major damage)? If you think we should tell, what is the best way to handle it? I told a church member something he said without naming names, and she was outraged (wanted to know if I had told the pastor, lol!).

Bible version: Jesus was crucified, died and was buried. on the 3rd day he ressurected and straight to heaven.

Quran: He did not die but was replaced by a double. Instead he was lifted(ascended) by God.

Both believe Jesus will come back.

First of all, let me say I am glad that both religions did not deny the extraordinary events that took place in Jesus life. Both believe Jesus is still alive and both believe Jesus was lifted up(Quran) or ressurected(bible) and will come back another time. Kudos for that.

My question is what happen to the rest of the story? Why the obvious discrepancies take place?

Peace to all.

I am particularly interested in Christians who don't go to church. And please don't answer "because I'm not a Christian" because you don't have to be a Christian to go to church.

I knew it was wrong and i did it anyways because i was straight scared and I regret and repent. I am now going to church and gave my life back to JC. I know JC forgave me but I just cant stop grieving! and I want to really feel and look forward seeing my child in heaven when I go. I just hope that my child will still love me. Can someone please share scripture where I can go for this?

Abraham had a kid that God established his covanent with, and he had another kid that, I guess was from adultry, since he was already married. (correct me if I am wrong)

So are the chosen people, 12 tribes of Israel, from the covanent brother and the gentiles from the other brother?
