slaughtering countless women and children, in an attempt to destroy their "inferior culture" and force christianity on them? Does god approve of killing innocents because they're half way across the world with different beliefs?

Yep, he does. Here are some quotes about how much God relishes murder. My favorite is quote number 2. It just makes the Christian God seem so fantastically demonic.

1.) "Anyone who is captured will be run through with a sword. Their little children will be dashed to death right before their eyes."
- Isaiah 13

2.) "Now therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known man by lying with him. But all the young girls who have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves."
- Numbers 31

God is such a just and loving God!

I'm not a christian. I agree that what was done to the Aztecs and other "colonies" in the name of god was a dreadful thing. I also don't believe that it was ordered by any god. I also believe that we all have a part to play on earth and some of those parts, from our earth-bound point of view, are pretty terrible, but if we play those parts well we are rewarded in heaven. It's not different from being the villain in a movie and getting an Oscar for it. This isn't us--the spiritual essence of us--here on Earth, it's just a game we're all playing, and we've forgotten.
