Abraham had a kid that God established his covanent with, and he had another kid that, I guess was from adultry, since he was already married. (correct me if I am wrong)

So are the chosen people, 12 tribes of Israel, from the covanent brother and the gentiles from the other brother?

You are not going to succeed with this, because the situation is hopelessly muddled.

Abraham wasn't the only person on earth, so lots of people are descended from other people besides him.

This person did exist, and did establish two lines of descendants, but which one is which is anybody's guess. All the mideast people (except the Iranians, who are Persians) including all the arabs and the jews, are descended from this Abraham fellow, but whether one or the other came from which son of which mother, nobody knows.

Part of the reason is that the story as related in the bible is so completely far-fetched. The wife Sarai (or Sarah) couldn't have borne children at 90+ years of age, so my guess is that she benefited from a baby slipped into her arms at the right point, so there's no telling if that child even belonged to Abraham, although it likely did.

Little is known about the mother of the other son. Men were not accused of 'adultery' as they were allowed to have as many wives/concubines as they could afford, and all the children were considered to be legitimate.

Don't even try to unravel this 10,000 year old mess!

Abraham and Sarah were at first unable to have a child, although God informed Sarah she would have a child because of her age she disbelieved. Sarah then convinced Abraham to consort with her female slave, an Egyptian named Hagar to which the union produced a son named Ismael . Sarah then produced a son named Issac. Rember my friend even then disobedience was human, yet God still kept his promise to Abraham to give him descendents too numerous to count. The twelve tribes are the tribes of Israel . They are the descentants of Isaac and Ismael

Issac is the legitmate son of his aged wife Sarah.
Ishmael is an illegitmate son by his slave woman.
God promised a son that all nations would be blessed by.
Sarah was beyond child bearing years and encouraged her husband to bear a child by the slave girl.

God told Abram to leave Ur and move to a land He would show him, for as He said, “I shall make a great nation out of you.” (Ge 12:1-4) Later, God enlarged on his promise, saying, “You will certainly become a father of a crowd of nations. . . . And I will make you very, very fruitful and will make you become nations, and kings will come out of you.” (Ge 17:1-6) This promise was fulfilled. Abraham’s son Ishmael fathered “twelve chieftains according to their clans” (Ge 25:13-16; 17:20; 21:13, 18), and through the six sons of Keturah, other nations traced their ancestry back to Abraham. (Ge 25:1-4; 1Ch 1:28-33; Ro 4:16-18) From Abraham’s son Isaac sprang the Israelites and Edomites. (Ge 25:21-26)

The 12 tribes are different from Isaac and Ishmael. Abraham is the father of 3 religions. Judeaism, Christian and Muslim. Jews are Gods chosen people.

Isaac was the one who received God's blessing... he was truly the promised one of God.

Sarah ( Abraham's wife) and Abraham did not fully trust God to do what he said so it was decided that Hagar (Sarah's maid) would be a "surrogate" mother.

Haagar's son was Ishmael. When God had Abraham send Hagar and Ishmael from the camp, He promised that Ishmael would be a great nation also.

We see that fullfilled today in the Muslims. They are considered the decendants of the Ishmaelites.

I believe that the son he had with the handmaid is the Muhammad people believers.
God blessed both but only Sarah and Abraham son together got the Promise and 12 Tribes came from, and Jesus was born from.

The convenant was made through Issac
Ishmael was blessed - which is where Islam walks in and claims their lineage from Ishmael.

The true interpretations comes from "Jesus'" talk with Hagar after Sarah banished her. "Jesus" knew that the descendants of Issac would fail to live up to the convenant, but the descendants of Ishmael would accept the convenant along with those who abandoned the failed convenant for the new convenant. While many of the descendants of Ishmael fell into sin, many of them remained to accept Christ.

We are all chosen people (that is why we exist) and Abraham was not that much unlike anyone else who has ever lived on this planet. We were all created equal and therefore need not hold another as better or superior to anyone else - Abraham included. What he did or didn't do is no more or less significant than what anyone else ever did or didn't do.
