The Book of Mormon states "that Christ was the God, the Father of all things...." (Mosiah 7:27). Also, Jesus is "The Father, because he was conceived by the power of God, and the Son, because of the flesh, thus becoming the Father and the Son --" (Mosiah 15:3).
"Teach them that redemption cometh through Christ the Lord, who is the very Eternal Father. Amen." (Mosiah 16:15)
"Now Zeezrom saith again unto him: Is the Son of God the very Eternal Father? And Amulek said unto him, Yea, he is the very Eternal Father of heaven and of earth, and all things which in them are; he is the beginning and the end, the first and the last" Alma 11:38-39)
"And also that ye might know the coming of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of heaven and of earth, the Creator of all things from the beginning..." (Hel. 14:12)
"Behold, I am he who was prepared from the foundation of the world to redeem my people. Behold, I am Jesus Christ. I am the Father and the Son." (Ether 3:14)

Does the Book of Mormon state or imply that Jesus is his own Father? No. Is Jesus in fact Jehovah, the God of the Old Testament? Yes, that is implied and stated in the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon affirms the Bible teaching that Jesus was God before he was born.

Jesus is the Lord of this earth, God the Father is the God of all of our spirits, to put it bluntly. Most of the time when referring to "God" in the scriptures, BOM and Bible, it is Christ. Unless specifically referecing the Father, where it says "father" or when Christ is talking about His Father. I am not sure what your BOM references have to do with this, Nephi 19 talks about Nephi being commanded to compile a history and 2 Nephi 26 is talking about Christ ministering to the Nephites, the destruction of the Nephites and so on...
Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, He is also our Brother. We learn of Him and are taught to be like Him. We pray to our Heavenly Father in Jesus Christ's name.

Yes, he is the God of the planet Earth. His father is the higher God. Both God the Father and his son Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith and commissioned Joseph to form the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

I know these things are true by the Power of the Holy Ghost (a spirit being) and my long association with the LDS Church.

The BOM says that Jesus is God in respect that he is God's son and that he died for us. Sometimes when it says God it is speaking of Both the Father and the Son at the same time. kinda confusing I know but thats the way it is. Jesus is not God all by himself, but sometimes he is called God in the BOM.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Jehovah of the Old Testament and that he created the worlds under the direction of The Father. We believe that he paid the price for every individuals' sins, that he died, and he was resurrected three days later, never to die again.

Oh brother... don't listen to half of the answers you will read on here. We believe in God the Father and his son, Jesus Christ. We believe them to be completely different people, but same in spirit. We do not believe in the trinity, as Catholics and other Christian beliefs do. Again, different people, same purpouse

The idea that jesus is god or son of god ridiculous.
1 Hes dead - No point being remotely related to 'god' when his credential is only of that of either a mild manner citizen or that of a good storyteller.
2 Being cruxified - God must really hate him to let his best student died in such a painfully siily way.
Sorry, things just dont add up.

No in fact the Book of Mormon, the Pearl of Great Price and The Doctrines and Covenants all refute the deity of Jesus Christ....

Hence, LDS is a cult.

No, Mormons deny that Jesus is God.
Also they think that God was once a man.
And that we too will one day become gods.
