there are good and bad religious people, I would guess the same proportion that there are good and bad atheists or agnostics. Shouldn't the religious people be on average nicer if they take their religion serious?

Why do Mormins pick and choose people who they want to convert and Jehovan's witnesses go speak with anyone? Isn't that being judgemental or is that just how they do things?

In a lot of the churches I have been in they all have seperated and split up because there is a lot of gossip in the Pentecostal churches... Now I have been a Pentecostal all my life, but I still dont get why there is a lot more gossip in Pentecostal's life than there are in people who dont go to church life. Can someone please just explain this to me?

I have gone to church my whole life, until the last two years which has been very little, since I was married. Anyway, I believe in God and have been saved and all that. I could go to church several different places.
I have one church that I use to go to for about 15 years with my mom when she divorced my dad, along with the one --other one I grew up in--that my dad attended until he died. I went to both--sometimes both each Sunday.
Anyway, I found many of the people to do my dad wrong and treat me badly at his church, especially when he was ill. No one seemed to care and tried to call and ask to buy land from him when he was sick and come over just to try to buy land or ask for things. No one would help me at all and he was so ill and he had invested so much into that church. He never said a mean word about them though. But I sure did. My mom and I no longer speak since I married and she went to a new church when the pastor at hers left. The new pastor now--just met him

How can a group claim to love others, then bash others for beliefs that are different than their own. Certain religion groups often seem to be "bashed", such as Jews, Mormons, Muslims, etc. So why would some Christian religions choose to be negative toward other religions when Christianity is supposed to be about love?

I doubt God is knowable and if he is, then very few know him. That's why i'm agnostic.

I got him confused because I saw this totally accurate picture of Jesus at a church and I didn't know he was dead, so I just started praying to pictures of Ted Nugent. But my friend corrected me and said that Jesus is not Ted Nugent. But since I have begun praying to Ted, more of my prayers have come true. And I wonder, is this because Ted Nugent is a man of action, and Jesus is just a dead guy who talked a lot, but didn't take any actions to make change? Ted Nugent shoots squirrells and speaks his mind, and don't lay down for any punks. Jesus just talked about change, and then gave up, and allowed himself to be punished, layed down for the punks. Is this assumption correct? Should I keep on praying to Ted Nugent?

I just find it very strange. No farther would ever let their child go throughtwhat Jesus went through and now you are the All mighty himself and mortals attack your son and you do nothing! I find that hard to belive. Would you not just kill all those who opposed? I need to understand this it makes no sense that Jesus died. Ok he got reserected but still there was no need for that. Why didn't God just give humans an ultimatium by saying worship me or I will destroy you. I would respect God more for that then to "try and convince me" God should just order it.

to me how they reconcile Matthew 3:16&17 where Jesus is being baptized by John in the Jordan, and the Holy Spirit descends and lands upon Him like a dove, and then the Father speaks to Him from heaven saying, "This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased."

Also, why is Jesus referred to as the "Son of God" in practically every book of the New Testament. Also, why does Jesus refer to God as "Father." Also, why is the Hebrew word "Elohim" translated as "God," which is plural. Further more, what did Jesus mean in John 10:30 when He said, "I and Father are one."

I am asking a genuine question here, because I can't understand how someone can say that they are a Christian, and that they believe what the Bible says, and then say also that they don't believe in the Trinity. I am aware that the term, "Trinity" is not found in the Bible, but the concept is every where you turn in scripture. Thanks.

Do you consider the advice of Gamaliel?
At Acts 5:35-39:
: “Men of Israel, pay attention to yourselves as to what you intend to do respecting these men. 36 For instance, before these days Theu´das rose, saying he himself was somebody, and a number of men, about four hundred, joined his party. But he was done away with, and all those who were obeying him were dispersed and came to nothing. 37 After him Judas the Gal·i·le´an rose in the days of the registration, and he drew off people after him. And yet that man perished, and all those who were obeying him were scattered abroad. 38 And so, under the present circumstances, I say to you, Do not meddle with these men, but let them alone; (because, if this scheme or this work is from men, it will be overthrown; 39 but if it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them;) otherwise, you may perhaps be found fighters actually against God.”
Is it not wiser to let God weed out false teachers than for us to judge?

As opposed to being understanding, and trusting God, that bcause he is love, holy, just, ect... , he will judge people rightly according to how much knowledge they have, their heart and life, for example.
At the end of the day, are you not simply just being unwilling to be understanding and trusting toward God? I mean if judges in our legal system have to know many things about the law, and consider many things in their effort to make a just decision, how much more is God going to do that? I think skeptics are wrong for not trusting God regarding eternal judgement, sin, hell, ect... .

I know it is unfair but there is no Karma. People can do what they want and nothing bad will happen to them as a result. Were you raped? If you do not exact revenge against the perpetrator of that rape do not count on cosmic forces to do it. Take control people. Live, for goodness sake start living your short pathetic lives.

Do you rape children? No? Why not? Is it because you do not want to go to hell? No. You do not rape children because you have no desire to. So obviously a person who does rape children is mentally different from you and I. How can you punish someone for doing something that is in their nature to do? Granted these people must be removed from society because devience is dangerous and it is contagious but I do not think these people go to hell.
