Why do Mormins pick and choose people who they want to convert and Jehovan's witnesses go speak with anyone? Isn't that being judgemental or is that just how they do things?

Yes, for those of you who aren't searching for the truth that constant knocking would be annoying! I myself don't always talk to Jehova's witness as they canvas every house on every road!
However, LDS Missionarys (Mormans) most times have an appointment with the people they visit. They may go thru and find out who's interested their first round but after that their not going to keep knocking if you said no thanks! They actually keep track of it if you said no. On the other hand, There are those for who this knock on the door is an answer to a prayer! The mormons don't pick and choose who they'll convert. Those who convert have generally sought out and picked the Mormons!!

Mormons don't pick and choose. We have missionaries that go out all over the world to preach the gospel. There are probably some in your town right now. We also talk to others that aren't members of our church. We don't believe in pushing religion on someone else. If they have questions, then yes, we will answer them, and we will tell them about the gospel, but we aren't into recruiting sheer numbers. To us, it's about the religion itself, not about numbers. But we are growing in leaps and bounds. Check out the website below for more info. It will answer other basic beliefs and principles that we believe in. It will also answer this question.

Mormons are not Jehovah's Witnesses. Mormons are from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Jehovah's Witnesses are a different religious. I think they are equally fanatic fundamentalists, however, who should mind their own business and stop knocking on people's doors trying to convert them.

Think of it in terms of advertising and marketing.

Some companies just advertise to everybody, and take whatever customers they get. Some companies use targeted ads, and go after the specific markets that they think will be most agreeable.

Mormons do not convert----they recruit. Recruiters are always selective.
