How can a group claim to love others, then bash others for beliefs that are different than their own. Certain religion groups often seem to be "bashed", such as Jews, Mormons, Muslims, etc. So why would some Christian religions choose to be negative toward other religions when Christianity is supposed to be about love?

God hates sin but loves sinners.

Jesus loved individuals but condemned false teachings, legalism and traditions.

So to understand what Christians are saying, one must understand what they say about people and separate that from what is said about sin. Christians loathe sin, especially their own.

Because they don't practice what they preach. They always equate religion with faith which is B***S**T. Religion is just the ancient form of politics to get people to cooperate. Faith is within and has nothing to do with any religion. Religions are nothing more than organized groups that want as many members as they can get so they can have more money and bully anyone who do not follow. It's no different from fraternities but everyone's so brainwashed no one really questions it. Remember religion is man-made. That one god up there is probably laughing at us right now at the mess that we've created.

They DO love others, but they believe that their religion is the only right and true religion. And the Bible says that you should spread Christianity and "help people break free of false religions set by Satan", but remember its just a faith. In a way, I do believe that, but I really don't care. I don't impose my beliefs on people all the time. If you wanna be Christian, your choice. I don't care.

Christianity promotes Christianity, not other faiths. We have an obligation to warn others of the errors of their ways. We want all people to come to the glory of God through Jesus Christ. If you see this as bashing or intolerance, then this is something that you need to come to terms with. We will not promote a faith that disagrees with our own. We can be tolerant, but we will not sacrifice our own beliefs just to be polite or accommodating. When it comes to a persons eternal destiny, feelings do not count.

i dont know, but why do they always seem to have their hand out for money???

im tired of them saying im a devil worshiper when im just atheist. most christians/catholics dont tolerate others, if someone dares say that gay people dont deserve the right to be married i will insult you until you cry, they are humans and have every right as you do. If the bible had said it was adam and steve the world might be a more tolerant place where we wouldnt care if someone with a different orientation than us got married. Hey i have an idea, since divorce rates have gone up why not just ban marrige all together!!! Why do people base their lifes off of the bible, i love books, but i wouldnt be casting harry potter spells would i? I wouldnt be capturing writers and making them live through misery would i? so what is so important about the bible? I know i know, you people say that jesus/god wrote it, you people change your mind so much its hard to keep up. If two men or two women wanted to get married i wouldnt get in their way, i would celebrate them, isnt marrige supposed to be about celebrating two lives that have come together and want to spend the rest of their lives together, shouldnt you spend your life having fun other than forcing people to think what you thought. if everyone thought the same the world would have no individuallity and it would be really really boring, now wouldnt you rather be diverse than the same as joe blo from down the lane? I am tired of the bad thoughts towards atheists, and other religions, im not saying that atheism is the right belief for everyone, but its just the right one for me. if you cant accept me then keep your thoughts to yourself. All I care about it living life to the fullest and if that means having fun then thats what im going to do.

The religion teaches tolerance, but the followers stray from the teachings. As a result they become ethnocentric and intolerant. However, the religion itself is not to blame.

A Christian shows tolerance and love to people--i.e., individuals. But a Christian shows no tolerance for faiths that are not true, because they are an insult to God's gift of salvation.

I love people of all types, but I don't love other religions.

Because tolerance in religion is an anachronism. All religions (except one, I always forget which) believe that theirs is the one true path and all others are wrong; hence they can never be truly tolerant.

If you look around, almost all religions do the same things, it's all about, if you don't believe what I believe then you are wrong. so who is to say what is the right one for you? some over inflated egotist up on a pulpit telling you how to live, you notice they all ask for your money, they seem to live large, cars, houses etc. when it's all about power, money & control. you have to make up your own mind what to believe.
